I absolutely love the feel of seating primers with the ram prime on a Lee hand press. The feel is even better than with an auto prime or any bench mounted press I've ever owned... yes it's slow, but well worth the effort when you're doing smaller quantities. I've read reviews about flipped and turned primers with this product, but I'm telling you that it's impossible to flip primers using the product according to the instructions so read and follow them and you won't have a single issue with it. I always keep two on hand so that I don't have to take the extra ten seconds to change out primer cups and stems. This is a very handy way to prime. Fyi I've owned Lyman and rcbs ram primes and the Lee is the best of the bunch... it's just simpler and easier to use.

Works OK with the small primer setup. The large primer one will tilt a primer now and then and crush it. The stem for the large primer is too small, it doesn't have enough surface to seat the primer straight.

Great priming tool. Seats the primers to the proper depth and is easy to use. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that it seems like the part that screws into the top of the press is not metal, it seems like it's plastic. Still works but I have some doubts as to the durability of it long term.

If you run into my original review about it missing a part, ignore it. I dropped a tiny part and didn't realize it for a while. I found the tiny part and all is well. This thing is the high quality that I've come to expect from Lee since I bought my first Lee loading kit 30 years ago. Definitly worth the money if you are doing low volume reloading.

This is among my favorite ways to prime. It utilizes the power of a press and therefore requires little muscle. It seats primers firmly without difficulty. If you take care in placing your primer in the ram prior to seating, then the results are perfect every time. I've been reloading for two decades and have primed in various ways with both LEE and RCBS equipment. I keep going back to LEE in this part of the reloading process. The control it gives me in loading for pistol rounds is fantastic.
