Never got around to buying those expansions. Some day I will. But, this, this one intrigued me the most and the subject says it best: This Game Will Keep You On Your Toes. That's the difference between that first Fate game and this last one. The first one is still good and worth getting if you never played this kind of game before. The expansions [from what read] for that one is more of the same with additional items and monsters of course. Still worth getting in my book and someday I will as I stated earlier. I just wanted to try how new and different this version was from the first, and boy, they really did a good job with developing this game.Give it a try. Be sure to reboot your computer after installing it and then launch the game. Once you are at the Main Menu, click on New Game to begin the process of creating your character. Very easy to do. After you select the race, gender, and name for your character, you then get to decide how your pet will look by default. You'll get to name your pet as well. After that the story begins.There is a help file at the Main Menu that you can refer to for more details. May seem a lot to remember but you'll get the hang of it once you explore around town to pick up quests (to gain experience, fame, gold, and sometimes, an item as your reward for completing the quest) and see what each townsfolk has to offer. I recommend that you buy a fishing pole and start fishing before you venture off into the caverns. You might be surprised with what you'll find. Could be quite helpful. It certainly will when you sell all those excess fishes. LOLHope you end up liking it as I have.
