They remind me of other series that I have enjoyed for similar reasons. I love that they remind me of Avatar the Last Airbender, with the people connected to elemental power. I love that it reminds me of the first time I read the Sword of Truth series, because our protagonist has great power if he can learn to master it.I don't mean to imply that this is a copy of any other series. It's very much its own unique story. But it's comfortable to read. It has familiar aspects.I also really enjoy the personification of the elemental spirits.
