I bought it for my daughter, who loves all things Hello Kitty, and she takes it with her everywhere, so it is perfectly portable. The cup feels sturdy and well-made, with a thick design and a nice matte finish. We hand wash it to help preserve the design for years to come. It is not completely leak-proof, but since the lid screws on securely, any spills from being knocked over would likely be minimal. The straw is a standard thick plastic straw and is very pretty. We love this cup!

Only downsides: the lid (with attached outer rubber straw) is a bit more difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies of, it is not entirely spill-proof, and the decal wrap came a bit dented (impossible to fix because it is between the wall layers). But that's just being picky; this is one of the best tumblers I've owned! Note: the double-insulated clear Starbucks cup I owned lasted only 2 weeks before the seal cracked and liquid got between the walls. The construction of this cup is much better.
