A: Plastic and the bottom section is cushy. Very durable. I have used daily for years. A very comfortable pen especially for guys with large hands.

A: I think you have to get the correct refill that Pilot makes for this pen. - K

**Q: Hi. Will the bold gel G2 refills work with this pen also?**
A: The description is confusing. The headline and photo say it's a gel pen, and I assume that's right, even though the rest of the description says ballpoint. The G2 refills will fit the gel pen. They won't fit the ballpoint.
I used to use G2, but found that the EnerGel refills are the same size as the G2, but write better and the ink dries faster.

**Q: Will this fine cartridge barrel take a "bold" cartridge refill?**
A: I always get bold. It makes it like it's writing itself.
