Fully compatible with Hue. Colors look great but need to be brighter.
I ordered two of the MR16 4W GU5.3 (30 degree beam angle) bulbs. I have over 40 various HUE light bulbs (A19s, BR30s and strip lights) in my current house. My wife and I are moving to a new house in a few weeks which unfortunately has all low voltage recessed lighting so I wanted to get a feel for whether these could do the job as primary lighting. I happen to have two low voltage recessed cans in one of my current bathrooms which I used to test them. Here’s my take:Bulb size: As one or two other reviewers mentioned, these bulbs are slightly larger than standard halogen GU5.3 MR16s. The difference is in the HEIGHT of the bulb – not the diameter. Standard halogen mr16s are about 48mm in height where the Gledoptos are 54mm. In order to get the Gledoptos to fit in my recessed lights, I had to modify the trims by removing a metal piece off the trim that’s purpose is to lock the bulb in place. It would not fit otherwise. So take a good look at whatever fixture you are planning to put these bulbs in before you buy them to make sure you have a little wiggle room for a slightly taller bulb.Hue integration: When I powered them up, my Hue app immediately found one (the bulb turns green when it’s discovered, where Hue bulbs blink). The other bulb however wasn’t being discovered. The instructions that come with the bulb discuss a method to reset the bulb by shutting on and off the power to the bulb 5 times. I did this, and then the bulb was discovered. Once both bulbs had been discovered they worked flawlessly with Hue. I have several Hue apps and the Gledopto bulbs worked perfectly with all of them.White light: These bulbs have a total of 10 leds in them. 4 appear to be used for warm white, 4 for cool white and two others are strictly for color. When displaying any white color temperature, all 8 leds for white are on to “mix” the proper temperature while the two color leds remain off. I found the overall appearance of the white light to be ok but not super bright. They do a decent job of representing the gamut of warm to cool white temps at an “ok” brightness. I would say they appear to be roughly 80 to 85% as bright as the halogens I was using beforehand. They dim about as well as any Hue bulb does which I also find to be “ok” but not quite as good as any halogen or filament bulb dims.Colored light: As others have stated, brightness is a bit of an issue with colored light with these bulbs. *But*, I want to put brightness aside for a moment, because I have to say these bulbs do the best job displaying colors (again, brightness aside) of ANY smart bulb I have ever seen. Reds are deep ruby red, deep sapphire blues, pure aqua, nice deep emerald green etc… All colors look fantastic and accurate. Even the latest generation of Hue bulbs with their improved blues and greens don’t do as good a job displaying color as these Gledoptos do. Also, IMO, the clear lens on the bulb further boosts its appearance particularly with color, as other smart bulbs have a milkier look to them with their frosted lenses. It’s hard to put into words, but the clear lens just gives the bulb a sexier look when displaying colors. Some other reviewers mentioned a lag when transitioning between colors but I found the bulbs to respond quickly to the app and transition very smoothly. No issue there though there is about a two second lag for the bulb to initially turn on when you first power them up by turning your light switch on. Now for the brightness level... When displaying colored light, only the two leds dedicated to colored light are on. The other 8 leds remain off. The room I tested these bulbs in was an 8ft x 5ft bathroom with an 8ft ceiling, two recessed fixtures (1 bulb each) spaced about 4ft apart. No other light sources. I tested at night in total darkness. Cycling through various colors at MAX brightness, I could see well enough in the room that I wouldn’t be fumbling my way around in the dark though the room didn’t feel like it was flooded with color either. For my taste, I really want these bulbs to be at least 40-50% brighter in color mode. Perhaps they can be used as an accent with other light sources such as table lamps w/ smart bulbs, strip lights etc… but as a primary light source for colored light, you might be disappointed. Hopefully this will be improved in future generations of these bulbs.

120° beam spread results in very dim light.
Have purchased over a dozen GLEDOPTO GU10 Spotlight Bulbs with the 30° Beam. They are really excellent Bulbs. The GLEDOPTO GU10 with the 120° Beam are very dim if used in a ceiling fixture. 120° is really wide. I wish they had gone with a less extreme beam angle. On the plus side these bulbs are easy to connect to a Philips Hue Hub and work reliably with the Hue App. I have returned these and purchased the 30° version

Not a drop-in replacement if you have other hue bulbs
I have 4 Gu10 hue bulbs, one died. I couldn't find the Hue brand available which supports color. I bought this product hoping it would work as a drop-in replacement. It does not.The color difference from the other hue lights is significant and the design of the unit separates white from color which is a poor design choice and the power output differs depending on which set of leds it chooses to use.I'll be returning this as it fails to work for my intended purpose.

I wish I had known they don't work with Hue Entertainment Areas
A no for gaming. I bought these to use near my computer, but since the bulbs from gledopto can't become part of the entertainment area, it's not going to work for that plan. It may be due to the brief lag in changing colors (compared to Phillips brand), but for whatever reason behind the scenes, You cannot use these bulbs in an entertainment area. Aside from those issues, I'm happy with the brightness on the 120-degree spotlight bulbs with my lamps.

They work great within a Philips Hue environment
I was looking to replace a few MR16 spots in my bedroom with the Philips Hue downlights but realized i'd have to do a lot of modifications to make it work. After some googling and a Reddit thread, I was led to these. I was a bit skeptical, but they worked right out of the box and I was able to add them to my existing Hue environment with no issues. I was even able to pair them to a Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch. They also respond with no issues to my Google Assistant environment, as well. The only con as others have mentioned as I wish they were a brighter and the colors a bit more vivid. That would literally give them 5 stars from me. At half the price of the Philips option, I am happy with my purchase.

Maybe replace the light fixture if you're going smart.
I bought both the GU10s and GU15s They're bigger than the dumb bulbs and super slow to respond to Philips. I frequently have to press dimmer buttons multiple times to get them to turn on or off. Sometimes it's just one bulb that doesn't respond, sometimes all five in the fixture ignore me. It's definitely not my hub being overloaded, these bulbs just don't respond. Very disappointing but I guess you get what you pay for. I wish Philips made these.

Sadly it didn’t even come on!
I was excited when I found this bulb. Being zigbee it was suppose to work with my Philips hue bridge, so I thought I would be able to use Siri with it also. Once the bulb arrived. I noticed it looked rather large in length and it was! So it didn’t even fit into the track light for being too long. If that wasn’t bad enough. It would not even turn on. I would advise to avoid this product.

Functional but not amazing
So if you already have the low voltage track lights these are the best option available, especially if you want hue integration. That said what you get is 10 leds in a circle. 8 are white/white hues that light up and bright/dim when in that mode and 2 are color changing. So they are bright enough when in white modes but colors are dim. When more lights bulbs go out I’ll keep looking for better options but these are what I’m going with for now.
