I had the vanilla and tobacco version, and the smell is pleasant and not overpowering. However, the vanilla is somewhat lost, and I would have preferred it be a little stronger. The tobacco smell comes through well and reminds me of a nice pipe tobacco. The feel is a little greasy for me, but it coats my beard well and combs through nicely. It doesn't do much in the way of hold, but holds my beard in good condition.
