There is light on my patio but behind me where I grill. So, the dreaded griller shadow. This light is awesome! It is perfectly bright. The beam is perfectly wide for my 32" grill. It straps very secure to the handle and looks fine with it and isn't that in the way mounted center of the handle. It is even perfwctly positioned with the lid up for light and lid down woth cover on when done. I can speak for any auto light function as I just turn on when needed.
