Really fun tabletop game!
Purchased this game because Japanime Games is one of the best anime tabletop producers and game makers.Comes with a lengthy booklet of instructions so it's a bit of a hurdle to learn the game or to introduce a new player to the game. It's a bit easier if the people playing the game are familiar with Dominion. The art on the cards are really nice and the princesses' powers are well balanced. Replayability is 10/10, and this is just from the base game. It will take a long time before you feel the need to purchase an expansion pack if you're starting to get bored of the base cards. In fact my family begs me to play all of the time! Highly recommend!

We love this game!
Finally! A game my computer-loving boys and I, the old-fashioned board game lover, ALL LOVE! This is a stand-alone set that also works as an expansion to the original Heart of Crown. Everything is high-quality and the artwork is nice--especially if you love the anime-style. (Made in Japan, NOT China.) A deck building game with a nice mix of luck and strategy, this game has a variety of card choices that make for great game play variety. Highly recommended! FYI there are card sleeves available for these cards. Be sure to get all of the expansion packs!

Fun deckbuilder
I'm case you don't know what a deckbuilder is, you basically start with a small deck, same as your opponent and then build your deck from a store in game. If your familiar with the game Dominion then you have the idea. This game is standalone and needs no other products to play and my review is based on that.Basically the point is to build your deck over time, turn after turn. Eventually you have to pick one of the unique princesses and back her for ascension to the crown. You do this by playing cards to earn money, then buy more cards from the market to increase your revenue generating each time you shuffle your deck. There are some attack cards that mess with your opponents but mostly it's playing your turn to combo cards to generate money. The instructions comes with some starter configurations then you can use randomizer cards included to make the game different each time.Lot of game time and replayability. Then there are expansions of you want more. Lot of bang for your buck here.My main issue is the instructions, they can be vague at times but for the most part should be fine. Luckily you can get online and find answers. Otherwise this is a great game. And if you like the anime art you'll really love it.

This was a great expansion for Heart of Crown with some nice new card additions. I would highly recommend this to add to the game play.

Ok deck builder
As a fan of deck building games, I got this because of the ratings and reviews. It has some interesting mechanics not seen in other deck builders but it suffers from poor production qualities. The artwork printing is bad and the text on the cards, which on some cards is a lot, is hard to read. Otherwise it would’ve been an excellent deck builder.

Great Game, but instructions need help.
Really like this game. We did feel the instructions were vague regarding some things. Left to decipher some cards on our own as we couldn’t even find explanations of all cards online. Saying that, after watching videos and studying a bit, I am purchasing a second copy for a guest home. I do, however, see new players questioning some card rules and mechanics that were not clearly explained. I’m sure people who have played lots of deck-builders picked it up easier than we did.

Great deckbuilder, inconsistent quality art.
Without going too into detail, Heart of Crown is a wonderful deckbuilder that's easy to learn and plays well at most skill levels. It plays quickly and the design of the cards are generally quite intuitive. There are more than enough reviews about it as a game online, so i'll just talk about the product. The box itself is pretty well put together and can hold not only its cards but also that of two of their mini expansions. If you take out the insert, you could probably hold all the expansions. Right now I have two of the mini expansions, but all the cards are sleeved and there's still space in the box.The quality of the cards err more on the 'above average' side of things, but the quality of the art is pretty hit or miss. The backgrounds in the card are usually pretty detailed but the foreground characters or actions can sometimes look pretty mediocre. The tokens themselves... meh, they're there, for what it's worth. These go more on the below average side of things, but they're really not integral to the experience of the game, so I wouldn't worry about them. The last thing is probably the rulebook. It's a very functional rulebook. It's not going to win awards for design, but it's generally easy enough to find answers to any of your questions while playing, and the text styling is pretty inoffensive. Nothing really to write home about, but it gets the job done. All in all, a fairy solid product. I'll give it 5 stars because I like it, and there was really nothing big that was missed out in the box.
