I have used many variations of these strips and they really do seem to attract fish. On a recent trip both my wife and I were bottom fishing with vertical jigs. To test these, we put fish strips on her jig, nothing on mine. She could not get to the bottom without a hook up. For my jig, with no fish strip, took 2 or 3 bounces off the bottom to get a hook up. FWIW, my no strip jig seemed to get bigger fish. What species? Black sea bass, snapper sizeblues , weakfish, and scup. The product with the mess works well, and lasts, but its a bit tough to get onto your hook. Just be careful. Overall good stuff, more convenient than natural bait.
