    Dependable on a budget

*by B***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2020*

I use this in church. The receiver is behind a concrete wall. No drops in a year. The sound quality is good. I haven't used these as leads but whenever one of the praise team has a solo on these they sound good. I really like that the body is simple without displays or pieces to break. Dedicated frequency is also another possible problem avoided. The out is summed and unlike other models the volume controls work. It sounds fine with a flat EQ. I put one of these units in my church and intend buy another to put one in my traveling kit. There are other cheap units but they all have drawbacks. This one I rate top marks in it's price range. I brought another unit on sale that sounded better, but the receiver just cuts off. This one has a hard toggle that stays on. It's solid. The short antennae won't get messed up. The sound rates a pretty good. The build quality rates an excellent. That's why I will buy more of these. I rate the sound better than a PG48 not quite as good as an SM58. Everything that I've tried that sounded better was twice the money and usually much more fragile. That durability thing is huge. Buy an expensive microphone for the pastor's wife. Everybody else give them one of these. I will update to see if the frequencies overlap. I do have microphones for the clergy in my church that cost more than twice what these cost. These don't sound as good, but they sound good enough and they are more durable.UpdateI have 3 of these set in a stack still behind a concrete wall. I was pleased that I lucked out on the frequency not overlapping. They're still going strong. Six microphones for the choir. I had voco pro which sounded stronger but they started with the intermittent drops so I replaced them with more of these beauties. My pastor has an expensive synheiser. My pastors wife had a more reliable voco pro model that lasted a more than a year. Hundred bucks. Really that's not bad. Just replaced hers with a pretty good and most importantly pretty audio 2000s. Eighty bucks. If it lasts six months I'll be tickled pink. The fact that these eviotor microphone have lasted me years and don't give me drops, I'm very pleased. I gave the associate pastor some weird named off brand that starts with a k. Discontinued brand unfortunately because it sounds great. It was some funky deal of the day Bluetooth receiver. It's got a different look so the choir members won't be at preaching volume. I'm buying more of this model microphone. I have not tried it with a rapper yet. Someone who mishandles a microphone but I think it should do well. It doesn't have mad proximity effect like some other better sounding cheap microphones. Everything has trade offs. The fifine with the battery receiver sounds like Shure beta 58 but you better not go far or need two at the same time. Also it chews batteries like tic tacs. Their two microphone karaoke unit comes in multiple frequency and sounds great but has horrible proximity effect and is fragile. Yeah for real I had a gig where I'd put these in the church so I used my fifine and they were excellent until I needed multiple microphone and people started going far away. I believe these would have made me look way better. Seriously I've tried every budget microphone. These fixed frequency UHF with a forgiving capsule is the best budget microphone I've found yet. If You find better please let me know. Oh I have some vhf microphone that sound great but you can't trust vhf to across a stage, let alone going outside. When I get more more money I will buy a Shure beta 58 wireless. Beneath that, yeah I'll admit I like trying other microphone I really do. If a new cheap company comes along I'll probably try it. This microphone eviotor is the best most reliable for the microphone I've ever found dollar for dollar to four times the dollars. Yeah. I have not found anything yet better. I will caveat that fixed UHF frequency audio 2000 for about twice the money gives independent output each microphone and sounds good. I have some. Unfortunately their selectable frequency UHF kept going out. I brought their new model but have yet to try it. However their capsules sound good. Pyle may have a new microphone that sounds good. They discontinued their good sounding UHF microphone that was a little fragile. And they had a great sounding vhf microphone that had no range of field. Their new model I tried sounds like the Shure PG 48. Aka not good. EMB vhf good no range. UHF more expensive. Yeah really the class of the field is this microphone. I might edit this down later.

Good value for light duty usage

*by L***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2021*

I'm a professional musician and occasionally I DJ/Emcee weddings and events on the side. These mics are not the kind of Sennheiser/Shure quality that I'd want to go gig with or use as a primary singing mic. However for use as wireless handheld for an emcee or guests in a party/wedding setting they are just fine. Sound quality is clear--if a bit heavy on the low end. I used them this weekend at an event in a huge hall with 200 guests and they're crystal clear throughout the room, zero interference, etc. They're light and I wouldn't expect them to survive the kind of abuse you can throw at a Shure mic...but for their price point and intended use (light duty) they're fine. I could probably get them Eq'd so that they'd be fine for singing through but I haven't tried at this point. Easy to set up and use. I wish they had a balanced XLR out though....they use a 1/4" jack and that's not really optimal...that's probably my only gripe. They are made of hard plastic which is slick in your hand...which might be a gripe for some. I'll probably wrap them in some kind of grip so that dropping them is minimized.

    one works, one doesn't

We used these mics for a women's retreat in a small setting. One mic works great and the other crackled from the beginning. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Great sound on the one. The price is very good even if only one works. I will continue to trouble shoot the crackling mic at our next event.
