They are so comfortable and attractive. I really appreciate that the straps come over the top and further down my foot away from the ankle area because I have a problem with feeling unpleasant pressure with straps that come up too far (like Tevas and others). The straps are arranged so that there is no worry about your littlest toe getting squeeze or caught. Also, the souls of these Merrells are very tough and "grippy", suitable for walks and casual day hikes in varied terrain. I have read that some reviewers object to the slight toe ridge under their feet, but for me it is not uncomfortable. Recommend?
