whenever I go on holiday I always use my phone but when I walk and take videos its always shaky. This was needed to resolve the issue. A good phone + Homen gimbal =cinematic smooth camera. The setup process takes only a few minutes. Then start the Hohem gimbal app and you're ready to go. Most of the gimbal operation can be controlled via the app. From Manual control to live stream, they all can be done on the app. Using the Live stream URL from youtube allows Hohem app to live stream to youtube with a single touch. Using an s8+ allowed the Hohem app to shoot at 30FPS at 2k res with object tracking. The phone can be slided into the rubbery grip, allowing firm hold. objecting tracking good for sports, kids and pet activities. The gimbal arms are made out of plastic so any drop or accident might crack them. The Gimbal lasted around 3-4 days of continuous shooting of over 3 hours per day. The gimbal comes with 3 modes, but my favourite is the cinema mode "pan + tilt" to get super smooth shots. The gimbal doesn't make any noise all so can be used near pets when filming them in the park/zoo. The gimbals see to been designed with good ergonomics in mind so any user can take professional videos/photo with ease and comfort.

It didn't work, bluetooth kept disconnecting and I was unable to calibrate it.UpdateHohem kindly replaced the item and I have also been able to test it out on location. The stability is good and the controls work well with the app however there is definitely an issue with the calibration option in the app. I haven't yet figured out if you can switch between forward facing camera and selfie without using the phone screen...I did find that the tracking wasn't great and while panning it would randomly move as if it had locked on to a different target which is not what I wanted.The app needs more updates. The camera controls are very limited, if it could be tied into the standard camera app it would be better. My Mate 20 Pro has excellent options on Pro mode so if options like those could be implemented it would be a huge improvement. As it is, it is really difficult to manage the image tone and brightness.It has performed better than the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 I tried.

Where do I start.BUILD QUALITY.Not bad actually, lMainly plastic but has a quality feel.APPFrigging nightmare.Not sure if it's an android problem, I'm using a Honor 10 by Huewai operating Android 9.FUNCTIONSHere's where my main gripes are.The double trigger tap to recentre the gimbal doesn't always work.The panorama works on 180 degrees but on 360 doesn't do a full 360 degrees.In certain positions the gimbal goes into crazy mode and goes limp. Apparently this is a known problem.My biggest gripe and for which was one of my main purchase reasons is the time lapse video feature.Mine works about once in 5 attempts. The other four just keeps losing the Bluetooth connection.Also the app hammers my normal fantastic battery life and drops about 50% in around half an hours use which also heats my phone up to boiling point.All in all very disappointing. After watching some positive YouTube reviews I thought it would be better than this.

I ordered this but I returned it pretty sharpish. It’s ok but it is very unreliable in performance. Even with full battery it switches itself off on a whim.Additionally, it’s not entirely user friendly. There are other similar products out there that seem better constructed and more reliable. I’ll have a look at those. Don’t be fooled by the price!

Good quality, sturdy smartphone gimbal which comes with a great app full of easy to use features. I'm so glad I finally bought a gimbal after buying a P30 Pro. With this gimbal, I've been able to make some fantastic quality videos. The gimbal charges quickly, stays charged for a while with its super long battery life, and really does the job. So many cool features to play with. This has exceeded every expectation from the gimbal, I am happy with my purchase and recommend this product to anyone. Its great value, good build quality and love the carry case it comes with also. Overall, completely satisfied. You can also charge your phone from the gimbal also! So handy. Hohem have really pulled out all the stops at such a great price.

So I have a Note 9 and need to balancing the phone perfectly in the middle because it's a heavy phone. The apps firtsly does not recorded a video but then I reinstalled and voila works. Also it takes time to learn to movement. Anyway is a good gimball, for that price I can not complain.

Extremely good product for the price and I like the fact that it came with a carrying case also.

Not that great with Motorola G6. Tricky to get an external microphone mounted. Movement of the motors is not that smooth at many times but in general good value for money
