After taking a minute to calm my nerves and maybe a shot of tequila... or two, I now can only try to put words together about this book. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!Shanora has definitely treated us with this taboo treat and done it amazingly well as always. Wanting Mr Cane will consume you whole while devouring Kandy and Cane's story and leaving you feigning for the next book. A perfect chemistry with not only an age gap but also daddy's best friend definitely made the forbidden even hotter. And the feels...gah! Not sure what messed me up more, the angst, suspense, or the hotness leaving me squirming in my seat. The twists and the adrenaline you get just from this story will keep you biting your nails to the nub and give you the almost getting caught feeling right along with these characters.Wanting Mr Cane is part 1 of this series and does end in a cliffhanger. This slow burn, must read is amazingly written in dual POV. All I can say is you must read this book and enjoy the ride! I can not wait for book 2!! Books like this one are the reason Shanora will always be one of my automatic 1click authors.

Whoa Whoa Whoa!!!! Wanting Mr. Cane just blew me right away! I can’t even right now, I’m trying to recover from this emotional ride but I’m not sure I even want to be saved!! Shanora Williams just did the dang thing with one of the most epic stories of 2018! Mark my word because this series is guaranteed to be in my top favorites of the Year! Forbidden romance at it’s finest, this story will hook you from the start and have you panting through to the final page! It’s scandalous and sexy, it’s forbidden and emotional and it’s going to take you on a ride so wild you’ll be begging for more.These Characters who you will no doubt fall in love with were created to perfection. Kandy is this young beautiful girl who’s the apple of her parents’ eye. With a strong will and a determined mind she knows just what she wants and she will not stop until she succeeds. Mr. Cane is this sexy mysterious man. He’s the owner of his very own million dollar company with an allure so strong you can’t get enough.These two have a chemistry like no other but is it worth the risk? With ultimate temptations testing their every move and treasured friendships on the line, what exactly will go down in this unforgettable story?!!Sorry.....I’m not one for spoilers! 5+ stars!!!I read this book weeks ago and I'm STILL thinking about it!! Shanora Williams is one of my favorite authors for forbidden romance because she nails it every single time.Wanting Mr. Cane is a top read of the year for me. As some of you know, forbidden romance books are my favorite books to read and I'm picky about them. This author never disappoints. It had everything I look for in a good forbidden read. I love the angst, the sneaking around, the age gap, the super steamy (we feel guilty but not guilty enough to stop) sex scenes and the chance of getting caught. It's always hotter when you're not supposed to be doing it!This story is about a girl and her dad's best friend. I loved it so much because it started when she was very young. In the beginning it was an innocent crush and it shows how her feelings develop as she gets older. It was very real and it didn't come off as cheap and dirty. This is a love story.I was not prepared for some things that happened and was left dying to see what happens in the next book! Love love LOVED IT!!!!

I pretty much just heard about this book a few days ago but in that short time my expectations went from 0-60 in a few seconds flat. Especially after reading the sample chapters from Amazon I immediately knew I had to keep going until I finished, which is basically what happened minus the few hours of sleep I got. It's interesting that I considered this trope weird to me because honestly I don't picture a dad's friend to be hot. But all it takes is one author to change my perspective and I'm amazed how sinfully delicious Wanting Mr. Cane turned out to be.Shanora Williams has created one sizzling story without it being weird at all. Quinton Cane is best friends with Derek Jennings and they are back to hanging out like no time has past at all. Kandy is 9 at the time and after the initial shock of the tattooed stranger showing up out of nowhere, she accepts Cane and his part of being in the family. As the years go by Kandy's feelings start to change from familial to lustful but she hides them quite well from everyone because no matter what nothing could happen with her and Cane. Until one fateful day the dam between them breaks and everything changes.Wanting Mr. Cane was written so fantastically that I don't see anyone not wanting him. I love how well spaced out the timeline is and that nothing was rushed, even when the spark was first lit. And despite the age difference I love how well Cane and Kandy meshed without anything being forced or awkward. If you can't already tell how these two are meant to be just look at their names. Unfortunately there are times when obstacles stand in the way and both characters have quite some big ones to overcome. Thankfully there isn't too much waiting around after that dramatic ending and although I don't see how this book will be topped, I just know Shanora Williams will bring it.

This is the first book in the Cane series and is a forbidden/taboo romance. As it is a series this does end in a cliff hanger but is definitely not to be missed, plus the next books are being released in a close timespan.Mr Cane is Kandy’s father’s best friend who she has known most of her life. From when they first met when Kandy was nine there has always been some kind of connection between them. Throughout her growing up, that connection has changed to something else at each stage of her life. From bratty standoff to banter to something so much…..more. Forbidden.I have been eagerly awaiting this series to start as there is nothing more than a steamy forbidden romance. This was so much more though than I originally envisioned and had tremendous depth and emotion. It wasn’t some flighty fluff, no this was some serious AF hotness. Added in with all the steamy temptation, the chemistry, the wanting and the explosive surrender were some very emotive thought process around the guilt and temptation. As for that explosive ending? OMG It was amazing! I simply cannot wait for the next book in the series. So much I went back and read this book twice! Fantastic five stars!

From when she is small Kandy has been drawn to 'Mr Cane' However Cane saw her as his best friends little girl and nothing more. That is until Kandy is no longer a girl, she is a woman and Cane can not ignore the attraction that he feels for her, despite the people in their way.I loved this steamy romance and I admit that at first I was dubious but this is a story of consenting adults with a passionate connection. Yes, he's older and knew her as a child but his attraction is to Kandy is that of an adult man for an adult woman. The big issue is that he's her Dad's best friend and that makes it more taboo. (I would go nuclear if an adult friend of mine was attracted to my daughter- she's an adult but will always be my baby)So lets examine the important stuffattraction rating? - Off the hook!Sexual Chemistry (as adults) - Give me a fan - its hot stuffplot and pace- Both plot and pace were brilliant. This book had great flow and an interesting, difficult, romantic plot.I devoured, and thoroughly enjoyed every page and didn't want to put it down and then it ended.... Yes it ended on a cliffhanger! Shanora Williams you have left me with questions. I need answers and I need them now! Thankfully the next in the Cane series is due out on 12th July so it's not too long. Still, I need more!!For lovers of sexy, romance stories- seriously buy this- you won't be disappointed

What a storyline. This author sure knows how to write big. We have a very young girl Kandy, who has a gigantic crush on Cane a family friend 17 years her senior. We have Derek a Dad with a temper, a gun and a friend whom he saved whilst in the line of duty. We have a triangle of friendships that lead to two people falling more into each other than society considers acceptable. But is age a problem?. But trust loyalty and lies can be. This is a very moving well written, emotional storm, that connects straight away and leaves the reader in one heck of a cliffhanger. Book 3 fortunately is out already. Good.

Wow WOW WOW I adore shanora Williams, she never disappoints and I mean never, this book is hot and Cane is a man you want in your bed, love this and cannot wait for breaking Mr Cane

Amazing love story, I couldn't put the book down that much interesting to read. I cant wait to read the book number 2.
