The pressure monitor is well made, accurate and easy to use, I have used it on several occasions for submissions to my GP. It' good to have so you can keep on top of things and when not it helps when getting an appointment with the doctor if your blood pressure becomes elevated for some reason.

We were asked to buy a blood pressure monitor by our GP so my husband didn't have to go into the surgery for his check up. I paid £21.99 (our GP said we could get a suitable one for £20 - £30). It comes with 4 AA batteries which are easy to fit (cover simply slides off/on). The setting up date etc is fiddly (it starts at year 2020 but if you accidentally touch the Mem button as I did it is very sensitive and moved the date on - you cant go backwards. However, at 2099 it moves back to 2020. I tried to use it first on myself but I found it almost impossible to adjust the cuff, plus I think I would need a larger cuff, and I see from other questions that it's not known if this is available. Also, the connection lead could be a bit longer. Once I had it on and tried to monitor I found it vice like and had to stop. However, It is simple to operate once set up. I used it on my husband, his upper arm is not large, but the velcro is a very very firm grip (presumably to prevent the cuff opening up when in use). This makes it hard to adjust the cuff. Too slack and it wont monitor, too tight and your in for a world if pain. One finger width between the cuff as advised is definitely not enough. It might be a good idea to mark the cuff when you find a comfy fit, for next time. It takes a pulse rate reading at the end so the cuff is on for longer than if you were at a surgery. It will deflate very quickly when you press the off button for any reason. I have to give the surgery the average of 12 readings and my husband is not looking forward to the experience. The readings so far have all been within a certain parameter, by which I mean there have not been any wild spikes or troughs to indicate any fault and I'm confident I will be able to give his GP a good indication of the average of the 12 readings required so GP can alter his meds if needed. Overall, in my husband's case, this monitor works well and is well priced.

Initially I got this for my Mum who was recommended by her GP to purchase one to use at home after some minor health issues so she could check what's what on her own on a daily basis. My mum's far from a technical expert, so this model is great as it does the job and is extremely easy to use. Very compact anwell to put away when not using it.A couple of months after the original purchase, I bought another of of these for another relative of mine who was chatting with my Mum and after speaking she said she wanted one too , so we recommended this product due to its ease & reliability of use.

I’m getting to an age that my body is slowing down, but I don’t want to so keeping an eye on things like blood pressure is of great concern to me. bought this a a replacement for a old omron we had and this works as a great replacement for a number of reason. comes straight out the box ready to use as it comes with the 4 AA size batteries. one connected the tube and with a press of a button to go straight to measuring and within seconds we have the readings displayed. there are even more settings to for multiple users and keeps a record of the test histories. not sure how any logs it can keep but very useful enough. we did come the results with the omron we had and it's quite accurate on the first set of comparison results. quality looks well built and we're happy overall.
