I painted these black to match my home decor. It was easy as the wood was not glossy, or had anything painted over it already.These shelves do not come with screws at all, so make sure you got a couple at home.The wooden boards are also not screwed in and balanced on top however if you install properly this shouldn’t be a problem, the boards don’t slip and slide and are fit to the exact size.Overall happy 😃

Wanted something simple and sturdy for the office wall so Microsoft Teams meetings were a little more interesting for the participants. Used some B&Q own brand raw plugs and screws, measured equal distances, ensured level with spirit level and drilled holes (into plaster board). The wooden shelves are very lightweight but seem sturdy enough to support a fair amount of weight. One thing to note is they are not secured to the shelf in anyway so be aware of that and perhaps mount the brackets with that in mind (overhang etc) or perhaps sand some ridges into the bottom of the shelves to have them sit in the brackets.

I wanted this to put small pots of seedlings on against a south facing wall. I knew that it wasn't recommended for outside and I realised straight away that the wood is only one up from balsa wood - very light. But I made myself a couple of shelves from ordinary timber, as I'd intended, and now cannot fault it.

Disappointing. Metal supports are twisted so don't sit perpendicular to the wall, even with top and bottom screws, no black screws supplied and no channel to stop the shelves sliding, as shown in the illustration. It is in a utility room. I wouldn't put it in a bedroom or living room.

Love this unit. Easy to install and looks lovely in my kitchen. Only gave 4 stars because the wood was slightly damaged but once assembled and in place it’s not noticeable. I left 50cm between the metal brackets for less overhang. Would definitely recommend!

Shelves are untreated wood. You may or may not like this. Personally I treated my shelves with oil and wax, which made them more tactile and drew out the grain of the wood. Without this the wood is very dry and pale. Otherwise it's a good design and good value. One last point to mention is that mime came with no fixings for the frame. No big deal, but might be annoying if you don't have screws and plugs on hand.

Great product, looks much better than I expected and more expensive than it actually was. Really well packaged so no scuffs on the matt black metal. A happy customer!
