Pure Cotton Hand Embroidered Tunic, Top, Kurti, Blouse

~4 ½ STARS FOR FIT- 5 STARS FOR BEAUTY!!!~Fit is different, this what happened to me... FIRST of all- I looked at ALL, well a lot of reviews, the ones where ladies GAVE US their measurements and skipped reviews like- pretty, lovely- I beg gals to put your measurements- if comfortable- or at least let us know where it is tight, loose- anything helps. THANK YOU for all who did this!!~I am 5'7", I wear a 34 DDD, and generally a size 10-12 in pants, and L or XL in tops. I read reviews, looked at the measurement requirements and ordered a size 14, chest measurement 40"- perfect- NOT! The chest was tight, and the arms felt restricting.~The blouse is STUNNING!!!! The embroidery work is detailed, front and back, really a beautiful Kurti. I was pretty bummed it didn't fit.~I went back again to look at sizes, and found a **14W- giving me **2 more inches in the chest! I returned the 14 and ordered the 14W.~If you have a larger chest they have a 'W' which gives 2 more inches in the chest area alone. I did not want to get a size 16, it gave only 1 ½" plus might be big elsewhere.~These DO run small, order a SIZE UP at least (unless you are very very slim), and if larger in chest add the W size.~ Boy I do not like to return or exchange, but when in doubt about something I am super careful handling so it will go back perfect.~When the 14W comes in I will post a pic. I want you to see how beautiful this blouse is. Perfect for leggings, something fitted below. I am super happy with the quality and will buy again from this company. The price went up by a dollar in two days, so RUN and buy more! ha!UPDATE*** The 14 W fits PERFECTLY- so much better than 14!

I am giving this 5 stars as it is exactly as advertised and the reviews I read matched what I received. I bought a size larger than I normally buy and it just fit. I always launder new clothing before wearing so I washed it on a gentle cycle with cold water and hung it to dry. As it was drying, I gently stretched the cloth in the areas I needed a little bit more room, after drying I steamed ironed it which was really quick and easy to do. I bought 3 Tunics in white with white embroidery and also ordered 3 white tanks that were 30" long from Woman Within (only $7 each). The fabric is see thru and with the long white tanks I have complete coverage plus it gives the Tunic a top quality look. My business and home sit on several acres and I have to go from yard work to the office quickly to take care of customers, I have been looking for a work uniform that would work for both. Due to the high heat and humidity where I live I needed the light color as well as light breathable fabric. I also needed material that would dry quickly and give me full coverage for all the bending and reaching I have to do. I plan on buying more.

First off, it's not the shirt's fault for the missing star, it's for lack of size in this color. I love and live in this style clothing. My wardrobe consists of loose linen and/or cotton tunics and tanks. I'm 5'8" 190# 38DD evenly distributed hourglass 45 yr old casual hippy. The cotton on this shirt is by far the nicest fabric I've ever felt on my skin. It's almost like paper but not fragile or scratchy. The light weight but sturdiness is fabulous for Florida. I find myself swealtering in the heat but then cold when I go inside the A.C. so I lean towards tops with sleeves. This top allows me to stay cool both inside and outside. It's too big, but that's because I got the 22W for fear of Asian sizing being so off with no room for a woman with breasts. I wear a size 16 in pants and usually an xl or 2x in ladies tops. I don't even care about it being too big. I wear it with yoga pants, leggings, jean shorts or as a cover up... I've even used it for a night gown. The more you wash it the softer it becomes. The stitching is spot on, with great detail and construction. It's easy for this style to look cheezy or costumish, this top is so pretty and well made it avoids being cliche'.

This tunic is very pretty, but is not as described. The picture shows a crew neck and the one I received was a scoop neck. I attached a picture to show the difference. Also, there is a split up the sides not shown in the picture.

After reading the reviews I decided to order this blouse one size larger than I normally do. "Normal" being the questionable word. The issue is that manufacturers vary greatly and so does style and fit. Sometimes I am too busty for an 18/20. So, typically I wear a 22/24 which can sometimes be just right, and sometimes be too large. Likewise with the X sizes. I never can fit into an X-large: occasionally 2X will fit, but I am much more comfortable in a 3X. With all that in consideration, I ordered a 26. Even after I placed it in the dryer it was still too large. Large like a maternity top large. Part of that may be due to style. This is not to be worn tightly. However, it is such a beautiful blouse, I decided to make it work.The embroidery on the blouse is incredibly beautiful, and nothing like anything I own. I am 5' 5" and it hits me mid thigh, similar to the model in the photograph. It easily covers my bum. I am super conservative when it comes to wearing leggings, so I wore these with jeans. However, I think I am going to take the plunge and give it a shot with leggings.It certainly needs to be pressed with a steam iron. It's 100% cotton. This should be expected. The fabric is not sheer. I ordered this blouse in white, also. It is similar to a white t-shirt in transparency. I wore a flesh colored bra and had no need for a cami or tank top underneath.The sleeves are 3/4" in length.This blouse is the nearest thing to perfection I have worn in a long time!

I liked this top because it's very long. I am very heavy now and have very large arms and the sleeves did fit. It's just simple cotton so if you're the dressy type, you may not like it. I'm an old hippie type and have always worn and loved Indian clothing.....I am buying another one in a different color.

The colour wasn't the that seen on the screen- it was more of a tobacco colour but still very nice. The material is delicate but that is fine as I want it for when I go abroad. I am between sizes so ordered the larger size and the top fits beautifully. I haven't washed the top yet but if it washes well, I will certainly buy another in a different colour.

Very speedy delivery and well packed. It's a nice top, gorgeous colour and the quality seems to be good too. Unfortunately it flared too much for me and doesn't suit my shape so I have returned it.

I had a similar tunic by another supplier which was my very favourite outfit , so when it was irreversibly stained I looked for a replacement.This one is still pure cotton but much thinner so I won't be able to wear during winter. The turquoise colour is stunning.

I have a number of these smock-style tops. They are feminine and comfortable to wear especially in warm weather. This one is a pretty, blue colour.

Poor finishing. The white thread work is not a bright white it looks like it have suffered the dye of the fabric. Overpriced!
