So I not only had the algicide, but some other unknowns... Because of this my metal levels in the pool sky rocketed... MY pool was crystal clear and then when I got my chlorine levels up BAM... Hello coffee looking pool linear... Two bottles of this and the stain is gone! Now for me I did try a few other products some of which cost $40 a bottle... Don't ask... BioGuard works a bit slower but when you spread it around the pool and do what the bottle says... After a couple of days its as though the stain is completely gone. Further - Last year I also had metal issue but it was because of my faucet has hard water. Highly recommend you keep up with the metal count in your pool.
