A dad cap like this with no structure, it fit my fat filled head with ease. Well, I sweated that cap into a salt crystalized brown mess and needed a new one. So naturally I went to VV and ordered me up another. It came, and on the largest size I could not get my head in. I was devastated. Then I went shopping and found this hat. Not only was it $30 cheaper than the VV version, but it fit just like that one did. So I would say that if you find a normal 2X snug or that it doesn't give you enough depth in the crown, this might fit you very well. (There was a lot of room left in the adjusting band).
