Simple solution to a long existing problem
When I put together my Philips Hue setup my biggest gripe was that the switches were a different size to a standard lightswitch plate. I had to use shabby workarounds like velcro and sticky magnets to put them next to my existing lightswitches. This confused guests who didn't know that turning off the standard lightswitch would break the Hue connection. This item fixes this problem for good. Installation is very simple (although it did take me a few minutes to figure out that the plate that comes with the Hue switch is in 2 pieces, and you have to separate them so one of the pieces can be clipped to this switch cover), It looks very modern and is an elegant solution to the problem all Hue users have had for a long time. Philips should have been churning these out years ago.If you need to get to your lightswitch for whatever reason after installation, you don't need to unscrew anything. You can simply pop off the piece that you clipped on, revealing the lightswitch underneath.

Well designed and easy to fit
A switch cover is normally a very necessary purchase if you use a Hue Dimmer Switch. Without it, I found that someone always keeps accidentally turning off the light with the wall switch - including myself! The SM200 cover has a quality feel, is well designed and complements the Hue Dimmer Switch.I found the SM200 easy to fit. All my wall switches are old-style standard white plastic. You fit the cover over the wall switch (new longer screws are supplied) - I found it was a perfect fit for my switches. Then you simply clip the Dimmer Switch surround onto the cover. But first you have to prise out the original mounting insert from the rear of the surround using a screwdriver as a lever - there is an opening at the bottom to insert the screwdriver. I prised very cautiously at first but the plastic is strong so it's easier than it looks. The SM200 is supposed to be compatible with most wall switches. You can also get Samotech double light switch covers that hold two Dimmer Switches.Incidentally, I wasn't sure if the same Hue light can be controlled by two separate Dimmer Switches, but I have found that it can. This is useful on stairs, long hallways, etc.

Great solution but does require a bit of modification
Been looking for a solution to this problem for a while and other 3d printed switch covers don't look as good. I thought this would be a simple fit but it doesn't actually cover standard UK light switches adequately since the 2 magnets on the back of the philips hue switch are in the centre where the switches are they hit and push on the switches when the switch plate is mounted. To fix this I have to break off the 2 magnets on the back of the hue mounting plate and flatten the back (it sticks out around the magnets) then moved the magnets down a bit and glues/taped them in place. This means it now fits over the switches just and it doesn't affect how the removable switch goes on and off as the magnets are strong enough. I think to cover UK switches without the need to do this the product needs to be slightly deeper only by a 5mm or so.

Works on a single sized double switch too
I wanted a unit that would hold two Philips Hue dimmers but over a single sized double light switch. I thought the supplier's other type for two dimmers (type SM209) was just a bit too cluttered and this was the perfect solution! The unit has mounting holes at either end and one in the middle, which means you can mount over a single sized double switch using the two screws provided - see photos of our installation. We found that the two screws into the existing light switch were quite sufficient to hold securely in place tight against the wall and didn't need to install a third screw (far right on photo), although if you really wanted to be belt-and-braces you could always drill an additional hole in the wall and add a third screw. Don't really see the need though.Philips have totally missed a trick by not developing something like this - well done Samotech, an excellent product!

These are a great solution to the problem of Hue bulbs being switched ...
These are a great solution to the problem of Hue bulbs being switched off at the usual switch. The cover the switches, whilst allowing access to the underlying switch if necessary. You've probably already sunk enough money into them that not having to stick the supplied temporary fixt the wall spoils the artistry of your endeavour.I fitted 4 of them over existing switches. 3 of these were fine. One immediately had a problem of the cover still reaching the underling switch, with it hovering between on and off, and therefore a tendency to still be active. Another developed the same problem after a small mount of time, likely due to some manhandliling. This was remedied with a quick trip to a local store to get some new, inexpensive and immediately covered lower profile light switches. I went with a 5 pack of the Single Way One Pole variant of these - MK Logic Plus K4871 WHI 10A Single Pole 2 Way Plateswitch, 1 Gang for about £10.They have a lower, softer profile than the 80's ones we had installed and proved easy to change and rewire.I'd look forward to an expanded range - to cover other scenarios - I personally have a 2 switch that controls one set of Hues and then some light fitting that still need the switch accessible.I might have to buy the next 5 that come out so I've at least got the option going forward.Despite the small amount of extra work, these are solid and mask an inherent flaw in the Hue range, which is, already somewhat expensive.

Fantastic Solution for Hue Switches with Physical Switches present!
Being very skeptical, I've ordered only two of these covers to try out with my existing switches. I must say, it passed and exceeded my expectations and I will order more to complete my entire Philips Hue set. This is a fantastic and elegant solution for the problem everyone with Philips Hue has, working together with existing physical switches!!If you buy this and the cover touches your switch and turns of the light, buy a new cheap light switch with smaller switch (worth 2€) and it will fit perfectly, takes a minute per switch. Living in a very old house with very big switches, I had to replace mines but that’s ok.
