Review: Works Perfectly - This check valve worked exactly as expected and was very easy to install. The push-to-connect design made the installation quick and hassle-free, with no leaks or issues. The valve feels well-made and does a great job preventing backflow. It fit perfectly with my existing 3/8-inch tubing and has been working reliably since installation. Review: Great, quiet backflow fitting - Used this to prevent backflow on a commercial-grade condensate pump. We have a steam humidifier and so we have to use a pump rated for 212 degree water. The backflow valve that came with the pump was nightmare - horrendous chatter when pumping, then god-awful hammer (and total lack of backflow prevention) on shutoff. This pump uses 3/8” copper refrigerant line for its output and pumps at a very high rate. This John Guest fitting has been inline for several (peaceful!!) months now. It is utterly silent, adding no turbulence while pumping and providing instant shutoff with no hammering or backflow. Installation is a dream and no leaks or other problems so far.

**Q: Is there another check valve that will work better on a chlorine/water pump 3/8" line?  these develop a leak. possibly john guest can respond.**
A: Shark Bite carries a bronze NSF water checkvalove 3/8". Make sure you know you line sizes OD, ID as John Guest and Shark Bite don't match how they specify.

**Q: How many come in the package?**
A: Only one piece per pack

**Q: Is $13 a normal price for these?  seems expensive**
A: Yes, the manufacture had a price increase and you are only buying one.

**Q: Will this work to maintain the prime of a kitchen soap dispenser? (I had to use long 3/8 tube, down to container sitting on shelf)**
