Review: Beautiful product and easy to assemble with right tools! - I bought two of these stools after reading many reviews so I was already aware I may be headed for the allen wrench buyer's remorse. But thankfully at least one reviewer gave good instructions along with the recommendation to toss the allen wrench that comes with these stools, and to get a ratcheting wrench. Well, I didn't have one of those, so I just dove in, spent at least an hour an a half on the first stool before my hands gave out, and a couple days later I mustered up enough guts to tackle the rest of the first stool. Took at least 3 hours total, and felt totally wiped out after the ordeal. The stool itself turned out great, and seems very sturdy. It's hard to see anyone disappointed with this stool except for the effort with the allen wrench. I did not have trouble with screws stripping. Then I reviewed ratcheting wrenches and ordered this set on desertcart: Tonsiki 53PCS Multifunction Hex Screwdriver Bit Set, Including 1/4 Inch High Torque Ratchet Wrench Drive, Magnetizer, 1/4 Inch Socket Extension Bit Holder, with 50PCS Screwdriver Bits Sold by: Tonsiki I just received the set today, and went right to work with my new tool. Long story made shorter - start to complete finish and cleanup, the 2nd stool only took about 35 minutes. I felt invincible! SOOoooo much easier and fun! So this is ending up a thumbs up for both the stool and the Tonsiki 53 pieces multifunction hex screwdriver bit set. Good investment, as I know I'll meet up with another allen wrench project sooner or later, not to mention so many other projects where there is very little room to navigate with my power tools. Thank you for the helpful reviews that got me through this project. The bit of extra money for the Tonsiki combined with the terrific price of these stools completed a project that was waiting far too long. The wood and finish of these stools is just beautiful, exactly the walnut color I was looking for, seems true to the product descriptions.
Review: Very well built stool. - The following review summarizes the stools very well. It was extremely helpful with assembling. Let me start off by saying these bar stools look and feel very, VERY nice when they are finished. They are incredibly sturdy and I have no doubt they could survive an extremely long time and hold very heavy weight. As many other reviewers have noted, the assembly is a PAIN... with what they provide you in the box, that is! This is the only reason I did not rate these stools 5/5 stars. Here are some tips on what we did when assembling the stools that made them 1000x easier to put together: 1. Toss the allen wrench they provide you into the trash immediately. Don't even look at it, unless you feel like stripping the screws right off the bat. 2. Have a small ratchet, some wood glue (or normal school glue even), a microfiber cloth and a hammer handy. You will need to attach a 4mm hex bit to the ratchet for the screws they provide you (and yes, you CAN use the screws provided! They are good quality, although we are still unsure why they give you galvanized Tapcon screws intended for outdoor cement work... they're not cheap to produce!) 3. Assemble both the legs like Figure 1 in the instructions before you being to screw in the screws. Make SURE you use the correct pieces of wood in the correct holes (shorter cross piece goes in the lower hole, each side should have a long leg piece with a dot and a leg without a dot at the top) as well as the correct length screws (short, for this part). 4. When screwing in the screws, go slow and steady; do not apply too much force/torque at once or you WILL STRIP THE SCREW! Fortunately, if this happens (and you are not too close to the end) you can unscrew them out and use a replacement screw they provide you. With the ratchet, it is very easy to get the screws in quickly while not stripping them. Do the same process for the long screws for the seat. 5. When you finish assembling the body of the chair (including attaching the seat), choose a side of the stool you want to face the wall (in case you make a mistake on the first couple of cover pegs). Put a small glob of glue on the flat side of the wooden peg and put it in one of the holes on the side of the chair that will face the wall. Press it in as far as you can, then cover the peg with a microfiber cloth. Take the hammer and LIGHTLY tap it in, checking every once in a while to see how far down it's gone. If you hammer too hard or too deep, the peg will go too far in and splinter the wood surrounding it. Use the microfiber cloth to wipe up any excess glue and it won't leave residue on the chair. Hope this helps everyone! I am also attaching a picture of our stools in customer images.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the footprint measurement of the 29" stools (measurement of the legs' depth/width on the floor)?**
A: I measured the stool this morning and the length -so side to side, left to right is 18 inches and the depth is 16 and a quarter inches. Hope that helps!

**Q: How wide is the seat of the stool? The description shows 14.5 but this seems incorrect. Is that the measurement at the bottom?**
A: it is 17.5 side to side and 14.5 front to back

**Q: how much weight can this stool support?**
A: The label on the bottom of the stool says 200 pounds and I would question that it could even hold that much weight for very long based on the skinny legs and cross bars.

**Q: What kind of wood is used ?**
A: Soft wood and the screws will eventually loosen and you can’t tighten them. Unsafe.
