I can't comment on the longevity, because I have only had the bulbs for about 3 weeks, but so far they don't show any of the dimming with age that both of the other bulbs quickly displayed. They are super, as far as I am concerned! The 3000K color temperature that I purchased is closer to the older incandescent bulbs, but is white/cool enough to be pleasing (I am using it in a bedside lamp in my master bedroom). I may get one with a cooler (higher color temperature - closer to daylight) light output for my Living Room Lamp to bring out the brighter colors better and more accurately. The light distribution is very good without any darker areas, such as below the base, that are common to some LED bulbs. The light intensity changes accurately and quickly as the bulb is switched from one light level to another and is clean and uniformly instantaneous. Excellent bulb.
