To the best of my knowledge , they are not made of stainless steel however, I have not taken one apart. I use them for all sorts of jobs because I have found them safe on most surfaces. I can confirm they do a really good job. After spending £180 on a pan I wanted to keep it in good condition and avoid putting it in the dishwasher. You don’t want to risk anything too abrasive. This has been able to remove everything from the pan including egg with ease. Also good for wiping round and removing stains from composite sink.
