Men's Analogue Quartz Watch with Other Strap A102-04

My sister gifted me this watch. As soon as I opened it up, I knew this was a good one. The watch is stunning! The pictures really don't do the watch justice, but they are better than nothing. The rose gold / black color theme looks great. The attention to detail is superb. The textured pattern in the face of the watch is unique and really adds a brilliance to the watch. One pet peeve I have about watches is when the Roman numeral 4 is IV instead of IIII. I know IV is correct, but all nice watches follow the tradition of IIII. The reason I believe is to add symmetry to the watch face (opposite of IIII is VIII). Alexander keeps these traditions and yet adds a modern look to it. It's my favorite watch I've owned so far.Now I'm going to talk about some things you can't see from the pictures. I really like how light and comfortable the watch is. It seems just as comfortable and light as my citizen eco drive. It's not nearly as heavy as the fossil watches I own. Unfortunately, the watch strap seems to be catered to larger wrists. I have normal sized wrists and the buckle just barely fits on the last hole. The two year warranty is a plus, but it does not cover the strap, crystal, or battery. However, from what I can tell, the battery looks fairly easy to replace with just a small flathead screwdriver.A note about the company. From what I can tell, Alexander is a young watchmaking company with the goal of making a really good quality swiss watch affordable to the average consumer. They know their watches. I've read that they only make 5000 watches per year and their US market is only a portion of that. That's probably why I've never heard of the company before, but I will say that I'm glad I've been introduced to them and I will be buying another watch from them in the future.I've had many, many watches in this price range. You can tell the watches that are made with great care and precision and the ones that are just ok. This watch is my favorite < $500 watch I've ever owned. Even nicer than my citizen (which is my second favorite). Fossils are decent for a sub $100 watch, but really do not come close to a watch like this. Rotary and invicta I do not like as they are big, bulky, and uncomfortable as well as poor quality. Be very careful when buying a watch that looks nice and has a steep discount from its market value. I know this watch fits under this category, but trust me, it is nothing like its competition.

I never really review anything - but I love this watch.

So far everything looks fine. A good product. I may buy one more for my son.
