They're much better suited as tea cups than sake cups, unless you're planning on getting quite drunk!! I had bought them for a friend's birthday to pair with a bottle of sake, but decided to keep them for household use instead. They're well-shaped, but not very heavy/sturdy in the hand. Definitely hand-wash only.
