This pamphlet seems well-intentioned but it isn't much more than what you will learn yourself by a little online research. And it is noticeably repetitive, especially repeating the names of the four brands of support hose that the nurse author recommends over and over. Maybe this is necessary to make a point. But it also aroused the old training I have in looking for bias in writing.Well, this pamphlet, which appears to be available only via its Kindle form, has loaning enabled (you may loan it once, for a period of two weeks) and may help you if you are in a situation that requires or suggests support hose. I'd sooner learn what size I need by measuring and using online size charts available from vendors and manufacturers, if I hadn't the help of a competent medical staff.

The author created a VERY helpful guide for the need, use, and care of compression stockings for all levels of circumstances or disorders that might require their use. Even though I had read up on compression stockings when I first started using them and received good guidance from my medical store, Ms. Smith provided me with a well organized set of information and guidelines that will really assist me as I continue to use them. In turn, I can see that I will now start using them daily, instead of haphazardly as I had been doing before.Thank you, Amelia Smith, for putting this together for those of us who need them!

This book have me a lot of information I wish I knew when my leg first started swelling up. But the book is absolutely right, you should follow what it tells you.

Works well

A major rip-off. Money totally wasted. In addition, it was faulty technologically---couldn't get it to go past 67%, then after freeing it with the bar at the bottom it got stuck again in the 90% range. I think a refund should be in order.
