Niki Nu Lites M212-LG Origami Lamp Kit with Electrical Cord, Medium, Lime Green

I really enjoy this lamp shade. Amazon recommended a color LED lightbulb with a remote to go along with it and I couldn't be happier with the results. My apartment doesn't have any overhead lighting installed, but it has a sloped ceiling that's nice and high. I had to buy a couple of small screw in hooks from the hardware store and it was off to the races. Amazon also recommended the corded socket. I ordered one, but the shade already came with one.The shade is a bit tricky to assemble because no matter how detailed the instructions are, you're creating a 3D object from a bunch of 2D pieces of plastic and one piece attached wrong will eventually lead you to start all over. But the videos help a lot and I was able to assemble it within 30 minutes.The shade comes with a corded socket and some nifty clasps that have holes for whatever you're using to hang the cable up to the ceiling and down a wall. The clasps are simple and keep the cord taught, which is way nicer than a bent up cord dangling from hook to hook. That was a very pleasant surprise to me.The shade hangs from the corded bulb on it's own because it's not terribly heavy. Whichever bulb you use is completely concealed by the shade, but light passes through it in a nice, even, diffused way. The shade also allows infra red light to pass through it, so an infra red remote for the cheaper color LED bulbs will work easily. I recommend the extra large shade if you intend to use it as a major light source. I'm sure the smaller ones make excellent accent lighting.This isn't for people who are expecting an exquisite chandelier hanging from their ceiling. The cord will be visible going in a straight line from the spot on the ceiling from which the shade hangs to a wall, and then to an outlet. It's visibly made of plastic. But with that said, it's very good for the type of shade it is. Way better than a paper chinese lantern.

Okay was looking for a light, lamp and I love unique. I saw this product after hours of searching. I thought it was cool. Was a little nervous about assembly, and reading the reviews I wasn't sure. What I kept coming back to is people who liked this really liked it. It they didn't it was because of putting it together. I showed my husband and he try to talk me out of it. I almost let him. I said when I get it you are going to want one. So I ordered it. I received it yesterday. I was pretty nervous. I watched the video on u tube, key thing to remember. I had it assembled in and hour, maybe an hour and a half. And I did walk away from it once or twice. It is a little frustrating, but if you persist it is so worth it. I gave it 4 stars for assembly because it really isn't difficult. I am someone who has difficulty in following directions and I know this so if I can do it anyone can. I bought one of the light bulbs that change colors with remote. It is so cool and I love love love this light. I went on line last night and ordered another for my husband.

Okay, holy s*** did the assembly piss me off. Even with the youtube video guiding me along I had to walk away before almost throwing my money in the garbage. I HIGHLY recommend sending it already assembled and letting the customer have the option of disassembling if they so desire. This would save so much time, effort, frustration and probably boost sales. But overall, with the LED changing lightbulb against the solid white one I bought, It looks incredible. I am satisfied, still not thrilled about the setup process. Good thing I'm a good uncle who does these things as an act of kindness before wrapping gifts, because my sister has far less patience than me and would have just thrown it away.

I love this lamp! I use color changing bulbs in it and I get so many compliments. The instructions were hard for me to follow so I watched a few YouTube videos as I did when I put the "lotus" version of this lamp together.I had a hard time at first and almost gave up because it just would not look like it does in the video. I figured out I had the pieces facing the wrong way! The pieces look like they would be the same shape no matter which way you hold them, but they're not. There is a difference and it will be impossible to put together if the pieces aren't facing the right way. After I figured my mistake, I was able to follow along with the video, had it together in 15 min max.

I bought this after seeing it on another side and am glad I did. This is definitely very different from the usual lamps in stores like Walmart or Target and more affordable than anything in a high end store.I bought the kit and it came with all the pieces and a cord with an in-line switch. The cord is fairly lengthy, approx 9 feet. The pieces all feel like they can take quite a bit of abuse so you can take the design apart and make a different one.The included instructions are not the easiest to follow but I had already seen videos on YouTube with a few having some pretty good tips on how to put them together for the basic globe, which I what I assume most people would do. The instructions do show there are plenty of other designs you can do but I will stick with the sphere for now.One of the most important pieces of info I got in one video was to remember to hook dog leg to dog leg and straight to straight. If you keep that piece of info in mind it will make future assemblies much easier.I have a color changing 5W LED bulb in it and it is good enough to light up the room to where I can see everything around me but definitely not bright enough to read by. Perfect to watch TV, meditate or fall asleep to. It makes a great light to turn on late at night when I get up to use the bathroom and don't want to turn on a bright lamp.Kudos for the product. I read that this was actually invented by a dutchman back in 1972 and was selling for $300! Glad it has REALLY come down since then.

Me encanto, es un poco complicada para armar, con el instructivo es imposible. pero nada que un tutorial de youtube no pueda resolver.

Muy bonita, da una buena luz. Es dificil de colgar, pero armada completa en el suelo se ve realmente bien.
