We are all about protecting our kit. Since we have the WD 6TB portable external drive, it is only fitting that we have it protected. The Lacdo Hard Drive Case is a lifesaver for keeping our drives safe on the road. It fits our WD Elements and My Passport drives (1TB–6TB) and is padded so they don’t get banged up in our backpacks, van, or luggage. There’s even room for cables and small accessories. If you are going to spend the money on a quality external drive, protect it properly.

I like it. I like the internal padding and the pockets for small cables, connectors, etc. Seems to be well made (good quality). The outer case is not rock hard, but it feels solid enough for good protection if were dropped. And the inner padding would provide protection.

This Lacdo hard drive carrying case is excellent—sturdy, well-padded, and offers great protection for my external hard drive. It fits my WD drive perfectly and has room for cables and accessories as well. The zipper is smooth, the material feels durable, and the compact size makes it easy to take along when traveling. A reliable, protective case at a great price—highly recommend!

I bought this case to hold my WD My Passport Portable External Hard Drive, along with 2 USB cables. Amazon suggested this product when I purchased the drive, I bought it a few days later based on their feedback. My findings: * Solid little case with strong outer shell. You can pinch the case and NOT feel the contents inside nor make any noticeable dent * Excellent padding in the compartment you store the drive in. Raised ridges both on the case lining as well as the flap that seperates the drive compartment from the mesh pocket/cable section. These ridges are covered by a very soft fabric that does not leave a mark on the contents. Shaking the case when closed, there is no movement inside (with one note I mention in the cons section below) * Mesh compartment has good depth, allowing you to store thick or multiple cables * Storage pocket/sleeves on the flap are available, single-stitch sewn, but I don't really have any use/plans for them * The zippers move smoothly and seem strong enough, time will tell here. I do like dual zipper so you can open/close in either direction * Carry handles: 2 of them. Since I am using this case for a hard drive, I do NOT plan on using the carry straps included. One is a silver buckle in-line with the zipper. The case comes with a lanyard/clip you can attach to this. The second is a hard-plastic attachment point on the body of the case (see photo with 3 pictures). This does seem sturdy, but I don't care for the attachment point and will be removing. It is secured with a plastic rivet that goes through the case and into the section where the drive is stored. There is a felt covering hiding the attachment point (see top insert photo), and lifting this shows it is secured through (lower insert photo). I'll snap the rivet off, close the hole with a black insert to keep dirt/dust out. That is just my personal preference, others may want the attachment point. Only con to this case: * Inside dimensions: As mentioend, Amazon suggested this case as an add-on when I purchased the WD Passport hard drive. The case is slightly too big for this particular drive, which means it can slide from side-to-side, even when closed. Long-wise there is a gap, while top-to-bottom a snug enough fit. Easily enough solved by adding a small foam insert, but I thought worth mentioning for WD Passport users. I have included two photos with ruler so you can see exact inner dimensions: approx 4 1/4 (or 4 1/2 given the angled sides) by 3 inches (or 3 1/4 given the angled sides). Overall, I am very satisfied with this case, and if the zippers hold up to repeated use/wear-and-tear, should provide years of protection.

AAA+++ Great case and looks good, too. I had been looking for a protective case for my portable, but larger than the latest, SSD, but most were too small until I found this one on Amazon. The SSD fits snugly and is also held in place with two elastic straps. There is also provision for SD or memory cards and plenty of room for leads in a separate compartment. The outer case seems very strong so no need to worry about damage to the contents. Highly recommended.

Lacdo case is exactly I need—compact, and surprisingly spacious. It fits my external hard drive snugly, with room for cables and USBs in mesh pocket. The hard shell feels tough enough to survive being tossed in a backpack or dropped! Zipper’s smooth, interior’s padded, a great peace of mind when travel for busy business trip!
