Digital Heat Mat Thermostat Controller for Seed Germination,Reptiles and Brewing 68-108℉

I live in Wisconsin and tried my luck with indoor gardening. I bought a heated seed mat and couldn't figure out why just the seeds in the tray at the edge of the mat seemed to sprout. I checked the temp with a digital food thermometer and found that my mat was 131*!! I was cooking my seeds! Now that I bought 1 of these thermostats for each of my mats, my plants in the basement are doing fantastic at 75* !! I ate some of my arugula tonight!! Most seeds will sprout in just 3-4 days. I use a 1500 full spectrum LED and run light 16hrs per 24hr cycle. Buy a thermostat!!

I’m very happy with this product! I’m using it to regulate my ZooMed heat mat which is a brand notorious for over heating and being a hazard. This thermostat keeps the temp right at 92F and I don’t have to worry at all about the mat raising its temp. My ball python is very happy too 😁

Got this controller for my heat mat, it's for my leopard gecko mansion. I already had my gecko & mat set up but after reading reviews I seen that a temp controller is a must! So after reading many reviews & products I settled on this one. I've had a few days and it seems to be working great! When I first set it up my hot zone for her was in the 120f! No wonder she was staying more on her cool side. She now uses both sides and seems to really enjoy the 90f hot zone.

Was awesome and great for 5 whole minutes. Then just dead. Doesn't turn on at all now. One star because negative 1000 stars isn't possible. Screwed up our plans to start seeds.

Liked the fact that it has a long cord, both the main power cord and the sensor cords are long. What I didn't like was the way I had to setup the temperature, it says push and hold the set button for 3 seconds then set the temperature, the first time I tried to set it 3 seconds didn't get me into the temp reset, unplugged it and plugged it back in and tried 4 seconds still no go, unplugged it again and went for a third try at 5 seconds then it went into temp reset mode and it started working. Have moved the habitat and now it setup with the 3 seconds and works fine, so far so good.

I would have given a 5-star if they had not said it was appropriate for brewing temperature control.I taped the heating pad to the carboy and put the thermometer between the carboy and the heating pad. Put an insulating wrap around the carboy. Set at 80 degrees, the wine I was fermenting varied from 69 degrees to 74 degrees (infrared thermometer) depending on ambient air. The thermometer probe tip is too large for a thermowell. Get kit specifically for fermenting that includes a thermowell instead of this.

Worked great for 3 days and then it stopped. The temperature still appears to be fully functioning, and it shows that its turning on the device, but the device gets no power. Bought this to control the temperature in my chick brooder, and it failed the night we had a cold snap. I’m glad I caught it before I lost any chicks. Glad amazon has a great return program. I will likely not buy this brand again though. What is sad is I already recommended it to some family and friends, and I know at least one of them purchased as well. We will see if I just got a bad one or if they are all faulty.

I bought this to use with my heated seed mat for germination. I really like that it so simple to use, no complicated button pressing like up,up, down,down,left,right,A,B, start. It worked well with maintaining the temperatures I had set and got a 5 day germination on all of my peppers. (normally 10-15 day with out heat) Would recommend to other growers. After I am done with seed sowing this winter, I might lend this to my niece for her snake, or possibly test this on my brooder lamps for chicks.
