on time good a little pricey
it is a quality product and newi measure and leveled, a little too far down. this piece easily bent for installation and re-took it's original shape all by itself. after all that it was center and doesn't have any problems you find in some "quick installs" in new homes. works perfect no binding and has centering ability.one of two 1/2 round bolt was slightly bent but it kept nut from spinning quickly - but that turned out better anyhow. perhaps mfg that way.

Sturdy..came as advertised. NG around salt air.
Bought to replace broken one. The Zamac parts dont hold up near salt air. Wish someone would make one in 304 stainless or 18-8 stainless steel.

Wimpy. The handle for opening and closing the damper made of thin metal so it bends easily.
The threads on the handle-side screw are fine. The threads on the other side, which is flat, not round) are not well cut and the there are few threads holding the wing nut in place.Easy to install: drill two holes in the duct, 180 degrees apart. The handle-side is spring-loaded and compresses out of the way during installation. attach and tighten the wing nuts, open and close the damper to ensure it moves freely.This does NOT have a tight fit (it is not designed to be a sealing damper). There is about 1/16 around the edges when fully closed.The opening/closing handle is small. It should be made of thicker material and be of larger size to make opening and closing easier. Thicker material would also make it so I'm less worried the wimpy little handle will round-out and no longer work.

You can tell this are gand made to order. I actually bought this to modify to my 4 × 12 duct work. Turned out perfect

Perfect fit!
Normally can't find the 10" at the box stores. Fit perfectly---One side is spring loaded so easy to fit in already installed pipe. You can also adjust each side with the screw so it will fit and not scrape the side of a 10" pipe if the pipe is slightly off being perfectly round. I deducted one star due to it came by USPS and delivery was over 2 weeks and tracking was basically non existant and project was delayed. COmmunication with seller was great though. Luckily USPS didn't cram this in my mail and bend it like they normally bend up packages.
