iPhone 5 5S SE 2016 Case, Incipio DualPro Case Shockproof Hard Shell Hybrid Authentic Rugged Cover - Black/Black

Put this case on last night and am very happy with the purchase. I'll make a few comments, which probably will be consistent with what others have said:*The case fits the iPhone5 extremely well. Both pieces went on easily but still fit snugly. The volume buttons and the sleep button work as well as if there were no case. The muting toggle switch is easy enough to access although it's recessed in the case. Access to the Lightning connector and headphone jack is unimpeded with the cutouts in the case (which also expose the speaker holes).*The profile of the case is definitely slimmer, more attractive, and less clunky than the OtterBox (which I was able to check out because the salesperson where I bought the phone had an OtterBox on his). I can't comment on the degree to which this affects the protection offered by the case given that I have not dropped the phone today. But from a looks standpoint, this is a great case - I bought the all black version and am happy to have done so. Doesn't mess up the aesthetic of the phone too much.*The feel of the case is somewhat rubbery but smooth. I'd say it offers a good degree of grip without being sticky in the hand or in the pocket. It's funny, but the phone without the case almost seems a little too slim now, especially when texting.*The case does attract lint and such from my pocket. Not an ungodly amount but something I'm sure I'll have to clean off now and again. I'm not sure whether there are any cases out there that don't have this issue. And I'm guessing that the all black color of the case makes it somewhat more noticeable.*Even though the case ships with a screen protector, I paid attention to the other reviewers and ordered a 3rd party screen protector (Tech Armor) and I'm glad I did. The protector that comes with the case seems less well designed and doesn't provide as much protective coverage compared to the Tech Armor. However, I didn't try to install this one and it may very well go on smoothly for those who try it.*The case did not cause problems with the Tech Armor screen protector. I know some cases can cause problems with screen protectors, but this one is fine. The screen protector stayed down easily and everything fits nicely.*The case also ships with a small, folding, plastic stand. I'm not sure I'll get a lot of use out of it because I don't really use the phone to watch video while sitting at a table. But I tried it out and it seems to do the job. I'm not sure how well it would hold up under a lot of use, because I can see the plastic weakening over time where it is scored to bend into shape. But that's irrelevant from my point of view.*The case comes with a screen polishing cloth as well, which will come in handy I'm sure.Overall, this seems like a well-designed, solid phone case at a very reasonable price (half of what I would have paid for an OtterBox, which seemed to be the primary competition). Good fit, seemingly solid protection, and a nice look. I would have bought the case even if it didn't come with the included (and very average-seeming) screen protector and plastic stand, so I'm not going to factor those in to my overall highly positive review.If I happen to drop the phone, I'll update my review with any comments about the protection offered.

After upgrading from the iPhone 4S to the 5, I decided I wanted less bulk than the Otterbox Defender that I had on my 4S. Although it served me well and saved my iPhone on a couple occasions from pretty decent drops, the metallic body of the 5 gave me more confidence to go with a slimmer case. After searching numerous reviews (both professional and consumer) plus past experience with Incipio cases , I decided on the Dual PRO. I made the right choice because it is absolutely perfect. It fits the iPhone 5 like a glove and doesn't add much size. In fact, my iPhone 5 with this case on is barely (and I do mean barely) thicker than my naked 4S. It's obviously taller but that's due to the 5 being a longer phone. All of the cutouts are perfect and nonobstructive. The soft silicone inner case and outer shell provide plenty of protection in the event of a moderate drop. The outer shell is rigid but has a soft feel to it which provides nice grip of the phone. I wouldn't suggest it however if you are really hard on your phone or work in an environment that poses plenty of hazards, like my wife who still has to stick with the Otterbox which she even managed to destroy (she's on her second case but the phone is still in one piece and still looks great). If she had this case, her phone would probably be in pieces by now. I'm a little less rough on my phones, so for someone like me, for whom the worst hazards are occasional clumsiness resulting in drops of four feet or less and carrying in a pocket with other non-sharp objects, this fits the bill. It has enough of a bezel to offer decent screen protection although the screen is still exposed to shock impacts that could shatter it if it takes a direct hit. In addition to the two-piece design it also includes a screen protector (film type, not integrated like the Otterbox), microfiber cleaning cloth and a plastic kickstand for propping your phone up in landscape mode. The stand is made of a very flimsy plastic though, so I doubt I'll ever use it but it's a nice addition nonetheless, especially for the price. About the only negative is that the case is a print and dust magnet, especially in black. Dust can be cleaned easily with a piece of scotch tape (due to the outer case material) and palm/fingerprints wipe off relatively easily. So if you don't need a tank for a case but still want decent protection at a great price while maintaining the attractive slim profile of the iPhone 5, you absolutely can't go wrong with this one. My black iPhone 5 looks great inside this case.
