More like a toy gift basket
Careful!!! I bought this as a gift for my boss. She wanted to get into gardening, so I thought this would be a great gift basket with the treats too.The issue is, it's too much like a toy gift basket. The shovel, rake and gloves look and are incredibly cheap! This is not worth $100 it's worth more like $25. I wouldn't pay for this again. In fact, I ended up buying a different gift because I was embarrassed to give this to her.

A Useful Gift--for a Narrow Set of Users
This is a nice grab-bag of gardening-related items. I bought it to celebrate my wife's involvement in a Master Gardener program. While she appreciated the thought, she ended up giving away at least half the items. She either already had them (anyone who putters around in a garden, let alone a serious gardener, will already have many of these items). This is a good item if you're looking to give a range of garden-related stuff to someone just starting out (say….a grandparent who is moving from a condo with no garden space to an apartment with a backyard that will allow some gardens) so they don't have gloves or a small watering can, etc. Or if you're looking for a gift that is more about sentiment rather than usefulness (b/c it comes as one complete package in a basket--a much better fit than if you went out and bought all of the items separately and then put them in a box). If you're shopping for an experienced gardener, this isn't a good buy or appropriate purchase. For instance, I also wouldn't buy this for someone who has no experience gardening (it's not really a "starter set"). Or for a child. Either get this for an experienced gardener who--for some reason--is starting from scratch. Or get it for an experienced gardener who will end up giving away 50-80% of it b/c it's redundant. Everyone else should just shop for the specific items they want that fit their needs.

Birthday Gift
Hello, I sent this is a gift for my Dads Birthday. He was really impressed with the quality of the basket and the items enclosed. My only regretable thing is there is not a "masculine" version. He received pink gloves; which I was afraid was going to happen. Maybe it's available and I just didn't locate it. It would have been nice to select women/men. Otherwise well done! :)
