Quality product.
Looks and feels solid. I like the way the wire terminals screw down. I will be using 8/3 to wire my kitchen stove. This plug IMO is designed better than others and I even prefer it over the Eaton one which is my favorite quality outlet brand. Buy with confidence.

Legrand is quality
Was recommended this brand by my electrician, supposedly it's a quality brand. He installs a lot of these at the hospital, if he trusts it, I trust it.Used for my EV charger

DON'T use for EV charging
I used this Legrand 14-50 outlet for about 3 years before replacing it. Why did I replace it? I replaced it because unless I de-rated my EV charger (EVSE) down to 32 amps, this outlet got really warm. I decided to finally test it to see how warm it was getting by ramping my EVSE back up to 40 amps and letting my car start charging. After 2 hours in a 52 degree temperature ambient garage, I used an infrared thermometer and the highest temp measured on the EVSE plug was 144 degrees. I pulled the breaker, opened up the outlet and retorqued the connections on both the breaker and on the plug to spec and then reran the test. I got almost exactly the same results as before. I then replaced the Legrand outlet with a Hubbell hbl9450A outlet, torqued it to spec, and ran the same test the next day (same ambient temp in the garage). Whereas I was reading temps of up to 144 degrees with the Legrand, I was now reading maximum temps of 83 degrees with the Hubbell. I know that the description of the Legrand says it works great for EV's, but how much do you really trust it when it gets that warm? I value my family, house and EV too much and am willing to spend the extra money on an outlet rated for constant power draw. Looking inside the Legrand outlet, I can see that the contacts only grip half of the plug blade that's inserted, where the Hubbell has full coverage. Where the Legrand has a set screw that locks the wire into the outlet, the Hubbell has a full v-shaped contact and plate that holds the wire in, gripping with much more surface area. Don't be dumb like me. If you're going to use an outlet for EV charging, please don't use this one. Do it right the first time.

Wanted a few of these narrow plate receptacles for an extension cord/adapter project. These fit perfectly over a single gang handy/utility box, the kind with the smooth rounded outside, instead of the wider square ones most large receptacles use. These don't leave a ton of space in the box though, keep that in mind. Great value at only ~$15 (2020), everywhere local wanteh $30-$50
