Randy. Was a truck driver and got this for while driving. Excellent. Now I just play it while relaxing. It is read by actors with their talent making it sound great, plus with sound effects.worth every penny.

This is a great product especially for those who does not like to read. This will help you to increase your faith in the WORD, AS FAITH COMES BY HEARING, HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. Is not boring, the background sound and the character of each speaker spoke the word with emotion making the word of GOD alive. I can't have enough of it. I listen to it everyday and the best thing is you can rewind and listen to any passage of the Bible again and again until it goes deep into your heart and that is where your faith is build up. Is so amazing. Is also good for those who does not like to read some of the old Testament books that may seem boring but it is not when you hear the Bible comes alive in this amazing product. This product is different, it is NOT narrated by one person reading the bible without emotion and no background sound, as this is monotonous. I will recommend to anyone who seriously want to know the word of GOD, you'll be surprised how different it is hearing the word than reading, I have miss out important verses when reading it with the eyes as our minds do wonder away. I would say by far is the best audio Bible I have ever owned though I have others, being "The Bible Experience" as one of them. The BEST part is, I can use it anywhere taking one or two CD if I want to listen to certain chapters not having to carry the whole Bible as it is heavy when I don't need the whole book. Memorizing is so much easier when I hear the wordThe Word of Promise: Complete Audio Bible. Go for it, this is worth every penny for me at least. I love it.

In this time on Planet Earth, a wilderness of streaming media comes at us from so many different sources. It is definitely 5 Stars to have the Word of God read to you in Dramatic Fashion. From children's videos to Pornography and Murders, A buffet of media is available to whoever would dare click on all of what is available to watch or listen. However, This collection, The WORD of PROMISE, is a great have in the journey of keeping a sound mind in a lost world. I like the CD's for their high bit rate. I will convert them to audio files and upload them to my iPhone. That way I can listen to them wherever I go in high bit rate. For this reason the CD version (non-mp3 version) is A+.

This is great. I have a set of bible CDs (dramatized, NIV), which I've had for decades. As you can imagine, it's a lot of CDs in a case. This audio bible is much less cumbersome and easier to use, and I can play it anywhere on my phone. So nice to be able to listen to the bible anywhere. Also, the narrator does a very good job and strikes just the right tone. I still like my CDs because they are dramatized, but you can't beat this audio bible for convenience.UPDATE: When I wrote this review, I was reviewing a different audio bible. The Word of Promise audio bible is dramatized, you are listening to a variety of voices. I'd honestly forgotten about this purchase and had been listening to a different audio bible, which is not dramatized. I love The Word of Promise Audio Bible so much more, and I think it's perfect.

This is the best audio Bible you will EVER hear! Just close your eyes and imagine the scenery. You’ll hear the chariots and the horses, the water from the ocean when God created the heavens and the earth, and so forth. The icing on the cake is that the man who does the voice of Jesus, is the same man who starred in The Passion of the Christ! I listen to this every day as I read my Bible along with it! It’s a steal for the price! Well worth it! I highly recommend it!

SOME OF THE BIBLE IS KINDA BORING, FACE IT THE SON OF - WHO SON OF -.etc.THIS SET MAKES THE BORING PARTS INTERESTING, THE DRAMATIC PARTS ARE EXCEPTIONAL, FANTASTIC, CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT ALL THE TALENTED VOICES,I FIRST LISTENED TO A PASSAGE FROM GENISIS, THAT I HAVE READ MANY TIMES WITHOUT A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OR COMPREHENSIVE, LISTENING TO THIS PASSAGE FROM THE CD, I NOW HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF IT, THAT I NEVER HAD JUST READING,I HAVE READ THE BIBLE COMPLETELY THOUGH 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE. I bought 2 of these audio Bibles and read along with mine nearly every evening before bed. I am getting a lot out of the dramatic audio and even recognize voices. The text is right on with just a few "he said and she saids" left out once the voice is established. My only complaint is the way each disc starts with track 1 so if you don't listen to the entire cd at one sitting there is a little searching involved when you next listen.
