Does the job
For a bar, it does it’s job. A little goes a LONG way, so don’t overdo on your entire head (unless you are looking for a TON of moisture!) I used it just on my ends and it did it’s job. Not too bad of a product, but I probably won’t purchase again.

Incredible!
My first time using a conditioner bar & this is so impressive. I have a medium length bob cut, straight, fine & dyed hair. It does get frizzy in summer, so I had low expectations for Honey Silk. I was proven wrong. This bar conditioner is incredibly easy to use. You rub it on your hands during a shower & and run your hands over your hair, but you think, ‘this isn’t working’. Then within a minute, you feel your hair smooth out. Rinse really well & your comb out is easy, smooth, no snarls or tangles. I love it. I ordered their shampoo bar. If both work well, all the $$ I spent on high end products was a total waste. This conditioner is aces!

I liked the solid bar form
This worked very well for me. I liked the solid bar form. A lot of the ingredients are natural. It was fun to use and had a great honey smell and beeswax feel. However I bought it because I was taken in by the hype. The main ingredient is Behenalkonium Chloride, which is a quaternary ammonium salt (quat). It is a chemical, synonym BENZYLDOCOSYLDIMETHYL-CHLORIDE. Quarternary ammonium salts are a common chemical used in many hair conditioners. Dove Hair Therapy Daily Moisture conditioner also uses Behenalkonium Chloride. According to the Skin Deep website it is not considered to be toxic to humans but potentially toxic to the environment, although related quaternary ammonium compounds are toxic to humans (see Wikipedia). The company claims this product is 100% natural. Does this mean that the BDC is extracted from plants, or that it is made by chemical processing of plant materials? It's still a chemical made in a factory even if is chemically processed from botanical sources. Some jet fuel is made from plant materials like corn or coconut oil, and by that logic it could be said to be 100% natural. The justification for saying that Behenalkonium Chloride is a natural, non-chemical botanical may be that it is found in small amounts in plants. The same thing is true of trans-fats which are found in small amounts in natural animal products, yet the trans-fats in our foods are chemically produced and a serious health risk. The presence of a substance in small amounts in natural plants and animals does not mean that the substance is safe, especially when it is chemically produced and in much higher levels. Another example of a substance found naturally in small amounts in food that can be artificially produced in large, unsafe amounts is arsenic.Whole Foods Premium Body Care Standard does not allow Behenalkonium Chloride in products, although it does allow some gentler quats like guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride (WFM-Premium-Unacceptable-List-Dec5-2013_0.pdf).It is difficult to make a good hair conditioner without using a chemical quat because of their unique cationic properties. This quat is not the most unsafe, but it is also apparently not the gentlest.Although not the most gentle quat, it seems relatively harmless compared to its relative, benzalkonium chloride, which is often used in conditioners as well. However it seems to me to be somewhat deceptive to advertise the product as "100% natural" if it contains an ingredient that is chemically produced, even if present in very small amounts in some plants, artificially produced and not something humans have been using for thousands of years like olive oil or beeswax.I was fooled. The product description emphasizes beeswax and honey ("crafted from the precious beeswax and honey") and "100% natural", and it has the feel and smell of beeswax and honey. But those are minor ingredients, number 7 in the list. The main two ingredients are the same sort of artificially produced chemicals found in most hair conditioners. I give it four stars because I enjoyed using it and it worked very well, it uses a safer chemical quat than many other conditioners, and doesn't have an artificial preservative. However I only bought it be because I was fooled by the hype and did not yet know about the chemicals used in conditioners. I won't be buying it again because I am looking for a truly 100% botanical conditioner that at least meets Whole Foods' premium body care standard, but for most people it is a far safer product than most other commercial products.Burt's Bees makes a truly 100% natural conditioner.

Best natural conditioner I've tried except for ACV
I used this Honey Silk conditioner by Beauty and the Bees and liked it. It does make hair very soft and silky, and you don’t need much of it, and it has a gentle, nice mild honey-ish scent. Maybe I used a little too much because it weighted my hair down just a tad more than I like. Usually, I like my hair to dry with it’s natural slight wave, but it was just flat/straight - a little too much heaviness perhaps. Still, of the regular, natural conditioners I've tried it's definitely my favorite.Meanwhile, I was trying shampoo bars, and this led me to discover a more natural conditioner I’m so happy with: diluted apple cider vinegar. What?! Yes, really!! Read on and I’ll explain. Many shampoo bar makers recommend using apple cider vinegar rinses to cleanse the unnatural-product buildup off your hair and make their product work better - this led to me trying apple cider vinegar (ACV) on my hair for that reason. However, I found it actually CONDITIONS my hair like a charm. It’s also MAGIC for DE-TANGLING hair! Seriously! I googled how to use ACV for hair, and it’s said to have been used on hair since Roman times, which to me was comforting because I wasn’t sure about the idea of putting a mild acid on my hair…but if it’s been done for some time, you’d think it has some effectiveness to it and people would stop doing it if it didn’t work or hurt hair. People also use lemon juice for lightening hair color; lemon juice is also an acid…so, probably safe to use acv.I use 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water at the very strongest; like 1 cup vinegar with 2 cups of water. I use the name brand “Bragg” apple cider vinegar, from the salad dressing section of grocery or health food stores, or here on Amazon: BRAGG VINEGAR APPLE CIDER UNF ORG, 16 OZ . You might want to get the filtered apple cider vinegar by some other brand if you want no floating bits.I just keep the acv in the bottle it comes in, dump 2/3rds out (can make salad dressing with it), fill the rest with water, and keep it in the shower as my conditioner. It doesn’t go bad. After shampooing, I pour a few teaspoons worth over my wet hair/scalp (careful not to get it in eyes; it’s got some acidity), brush through hair while still in shower to spread ACV around a bit and enjoy how easy it is to brush through tangles (they come apart so easily you will NOT believe it!), then I usually give my whole head a light rinse to get some more out in case there were concentrated spots of it, though some sources (googled) say it’s ok to leave diluted ACV in hair if you want. It does smell like ACV at first until it thoroughly dries, but then you don’t notice the smell - and your hair is light, soft, de-tangled and you’ve conditioned your hair without ANY chemicals of any kind! Yay! Maybe now I can go back and see if I can get shampoo bars to work somehow…

Not worth the money
Purchased both shampoo & conditioner after reading all the great reviews, well it has too be the worse product I’ve ever used. My hair was more greasy after washing than before it left such a greasy film on my hair I have had to return to my previous products. For nearly £40 for both products I am extremely disappointed.Lesson learned - the most expensive products are not always the best. Only giving it 1 star because I have to.

A lovely product, just not right for me.
This is the first time I have bought and used a solid bar conditioner. For me, I found this product too hard to use effectively on my very thick and very long hair. To use enough that I can comb the conditioner through I end up putting on too much and my hair becomes greasy within 24 hours. To use enough that my hair does not become greasy, I a unable to comb my hair through. I think this is more a problem with my hair than with the actual product. The fragrance is lovely and fresh, very clean smelling and the little storage tin is great at keeping the bar self-contained and un-messy. If you have less hair then me, this would probably be a great product.

Literally, does what it says on the tin!
I am literally surprised at how brilliant this is! I have curly, blonde unruly hair that needs lots of products to keep it under control.... well, you just have to try it! It is literally like a small bar of soap in a tin... you have to get a good lather going. My hair looks soft, tamed and smells gorgeous after using and my nearest and dearest have commented on how good it looks. It’s expensive but I guess it will last a long time.

FINALLY FOUND THE ONE
I've been reducing my plastic usage for some time now and use bar shampoo but could not find a conditioning bar that worked. I tried the lush ones but did not work for me. I have long hair that I wash 3-4 times a week and straighten so the end get a bit dry. It coats the hair sufficiently to finger comb in the shower. Definitely recommend. A bit pricey and I'll be interested to see how long it lasts?

Great Bar.
Great Bar.. I'm a bloke with hair about 3 inches long on top, short back and sides type deal. This conditioner leaves a really good feel to my hair.. Not sure what else to say. it's good stuff. Comes in a metal tin, would be awesome for anyone travelling.. I like it as it's more concentrated and will last a lot longer than a bottle of shampoo, there's also no waste, so it's good for the environment. ZERO PLASTIC!
