As good as it gets for the iPad Pro 11" (2018) with a slight wrinkle.
I am not new to STM, I had one of their cases for my iPad 3 and it was incredibly well made and protective. When I traded in the iPad 3 it came out of the case and looked like new, amazing for a device with daily use for many, many years. With this experience in mind I immediately sought an STM offering for the new iPad Pro 11" and found there were few options. Many case manufacturers seemed to be late to the party for this iPad model including STM. I waited for a month for the STM Dux Plus case to become available - it was in their online catalog but unavailable until early May.As far as the case itself is concerned, after trying 3 other manufacturers I can confidently say this is the best one - it holds the Apple Pencil in place securely and provides ample overall protection for the iPad itself.I am pleased mostly, however, I find the cover will occasionally not shut off the iPad when it is closed making it necessary to double check if the unit is shutting off when the cover closes. I do have a very early version of the case but it seems this should not matter...thus 4 and not 5 stars. I wonder what STM has to say about this?If you are looking for a "daily driver" case for your iPad Pro the STM Dux Plus is worthy of your consideration.

By far the worst Ipad Case
I bought a new 12.9 iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil in December since they were on sale to start graduate school next month in June. I wanted to have everything ready so I purchased this case and stored everything away until now. I wish I would've tested this sooner to be eligible for a return. Today on the first day of trial of this case, it probably slipped off the mount about 10 times when pushing the screen with my Apple Pencil. It was frustrating but to make matters worse, while I was purchasing some apps I could not double click on the button. Even with an aggressive push it would not budge. What a waste of money, I trusted some of the reviews as well as my experience with multiple iPad cases and had never had one this bad. The only positives comments I have about it is that it seems very durable and it holds the Apple Pencil perfectly. Other than that the functionality is HORRIBLE!Update 5/29: I have recently moved for graduate school in a different state and decided to give this case another shot. I had tossed it to the side but now being on a student budget I started using it again. The power button still didn’t work so I grabbed some box cutters and cut out the tab that’s meant to push the power button. I’m able to fit the tip of my finger in there to now use the button. As for the stand, it has been used for about a week now so it’s able to withstand a couple of nudges without falling, however it’s still a bit weak. I have put some extra stars now only because it’s gotten to a point where I can use it. Great case for protection, not so great but decent for functionality.

Difficult for young kids (and me!)
Very nice feeling case with pleasing appearance, seems like good protection, and it's pretty much the ONLY reputable company that has included a place to put the pencil! I don't know why it's so difficult to have all those things, but for whatever reason these guys are there only ones really doing it besides Chinese vapor brands. That said, I had to dock a star because it's a huge pain to get it to stand up, and near impossible for the kindergartner we bought it for (she can do it, but it takes time and her teacher is probably going to be particularly displeased at that!) I'm not even sure it's something I'd want to hassle with though! I'm probably going to get myself an iPad and pencil too (it's slicker than I thought) and I've been trying to decide what *I* would do for a case - I do really like the look and feel of this case, but honestly I'm pretty sure I'd partially mutilate it to add functionality. I'll probably cut the front cover/stand off since it's such a pain to use, then afix a simple flip out kick stand to the back. I guess you could just affix a kickstand and leave the cover too - I might do that since it feels so nice

GREAT PROTECTION, but don't expect to use your iPad's sleep/wake button easily...
Having purchased my first iPad, the 10.5" Pro model, I was wanting to be sure it was well protected. At the same time, I wanted a place to store my Apple Pencil. I bought this cover based on good reviews and ended up returning it.PROS: Now, the cover itself appears nice, fits the iPad snugly, there's NO DOUBT (at least in my mind) that the iPad would be well protected against drops in THIS cover. So if you are looking for protection, this cover delivers. The back is clear, so you can even see your iPad's color and there are raised edges to protect the clear plastic from scuffs and scratches. It also holds your Apple Pencil and keeps that well protected too, and provides a place to stash the end cap while charging. Sleep/wake works well.CONS: Don't ever plan to actually use the sleep/wake button tho. It's literally impossible to press it, and that was straining with all my strength. Admittedly, I don't have a ton of hand strength due to a past RSI injury, but I'm not that far off normal! I have never had this kind of trouble operating a button on a tablet before. I take screenshots often, this task was made IMPOSSIBLE by this cover! And that is the primary reason I returned this cover to Amazon. If you never use the sleep/wake button, if you never take screenshots, then this is not a bad cover. But if you do, be warned.Another con is somewhat subjective. The folio simply didn't feel good to hold the iPad. The raised edges that keep the clear plastic back from being scuffed were not comfortable in my hand. Your mileage may vary. I tend to use my tablets primarily in portrait orientation and hold them like a book. If you use your tablet in a horizontal position and frequently use the stand, this probably wouldn't worry you.All in all, a decent cover, but not for everyone.

There Can’t Be Anything Better
I am an ardent fan of STM Dux series of cases for all my Apple products. The present case for my IPad Pro 12.9 (2017) is top notch in terms of material, craftsmanship, translucent rear side, pencil holder, magnetic closure, perfect cutouts & openings, sturdiness, minimal weight, sleek design .....and so on. It is an amazing case so well designed for a monster of an IPad in size. A clear masterpiece vis-a-vis other cases in the market. Above all, for £ 16, it is a real STEAL OF A DEAL. While other colour options for different IPads are close to £ 40, unbelievable price. The dark blue colour case is more catchy and pleasing than what it seems in the photo. NO ONE WILL REGRET, JUST GO FOR IT !!! 👍👍👍

be warned only fits 1st gen of 12 inch ipad pro
Hi there,Unfortunately I have now received delivery of the case from amazon.co.uk and while it does fit my new ipad pro 12.9, the case has not been updated to accommodate the flash camera on the 2nd generation of this ipad.I'm not sure what to do now, as I do like the case but amazon.co.uk don't appear to have an updated version and if I were to send it back then I would have nothing to protect the ipad while waiting for a replacement. It's a pity after spending so much money on this case. I wish you would update the product detail of the amazon.co.uk page and make it clear that it only fits the first generation ipad 12inchIs there any way you could replace it for me and I'll send back the one I have on receipt of the new one?

Absolutely the best case brand out there, and I’ve tried many.
This is the third Dux case I have had. The first two were for a standard iPad, and a first generation iPad Pro. They were both fantastic and this new one for iPad Pro 3rd generation is just as good. They are not the slimmest and lightest cases but they are exceptionally well made, and my first two are as good today as the day they were bought. All other cases (and I have had many) have quickly fallen apart, including the official Apple ones. These are different. Fantastic product. This version has space for the Apple Pencil which is magnetically connected to the top of the device. If you are looking for a robust front and back case with protected edges and space for the Apple Pencil, look no further.

Great case but dark grey rather than blue.
Bought this as a replacement and was sceptical what it would be like for the price. Happily it is better than I expected. The case is snug, and holds securely the cut out are clean and dont reduce the case side support, the pencil holder is a nice touch, the magnetic wrap work well. My only issue is the colour does not match the picture. The “midnight blue” is barely blue! Unless you look really carefully it looks dark grey!

Highly recommended
Now three members of my family have the same case. One of them has a workshop for repairing bikes and normally his iPad screen gets damaged all the time. It might be a little heavier than the normal cover, but then, if it’s real protection you want then this is the one for you. I added a tempered glass screen protector to mine for ultimate protection, but you don’t really need that. Really easy to get in and out of the cover too. Would recommend.
