This bin is fantastic.I was surprised by the materials used. It’s actually shiny stainless steel (actual steel) and it is very sturdy, and not too bad looking.The twin compact design is ideal for our small household, it takes the slim type bags, although you could use larger ones, but it’d be a waste, the slim bags are perfect fit.This bin does just what I wanted it for, obviously a waste/recycling receptacle, but also to keep the odours where the should be, in the bin.The automatic lid is a thing to behold, it works very well, and comes with batteries so you can use right out of the box, the lid itself is a snug fit and closes tightly enough to let air in, so as the waste bags do not get ‘sweaty’ (nothing worse than sweaty bin smell). Closes with a nice solid sound and is not flimsy, has buttons to open and close manually for scrapings or to clean.I did my research and was hesitant at buying a near £100 bin, but I’m glad I did, like everything in life, you get what you pay for.It’s a great bin.

The media could not be loaded. There are a whole array of bins to choose from but I needed one to fit in a narrow gap between the fridge and the worktpop whilst still allow easy acces, due to the auto opening and closing this one fits the requirements.The bin is a nice size and has ample room for waste and recycling in the two compartments, at the moment I am using regular swing bin liners however you could fit a bigger bag inside if needed.The bin seems to be good quality and the lid opens and closes as it should with the sensor, you also have the option to manually open the lid so as it stays open if you are clearing waste from plates directly into the bin, you can then press close when you have finished.The bin came supplied with the required batteries which was an unexpected bonus.UPDATE:Quick update on this bin 8 months on, still working perfectly and only just had to replace the batteries, these have lasted far longer than expected considering the use the lid has had.

Waited a while before reviewing to see how long the bin holds up to a busy household. It's a very good bin. Sturdy, perfect compromise between size and size of compartments. No more unsightly recycling bag. Easy to load bin bag, it has a plastic ring for each compartment to roll the bin bag over so bag is concealed. I used the standard 45l bags. Can rest against a wall and bin lid fully opens because the designers thought about it. Also a nice little feature, on the bottom of the back face of the bin is a chunky semi circular tab which is position central to each bin compartment. You put your foot on this tab as you lift the bin out so the bin doesn't lift with bag as you remove it. Came with batteries and these are still going strong and it's been a few months of frequent use. Price very reasonable for a bin this size under 100 when most bins with smaller capacity asking for well over this price. Highly recommended

I'm very happy with it. The bin is no too sensitive so only opens when you put something over it and has the sensor pointing the right direction unlike half the ones you can buy.Very good size. Looks good and good quality.So long as it goes the distance I'm very happy. And it's significantly cheaper than bins offerih the equivalent size/and split sections

The media could not be loaded. Just received this today. It doesn't work at all and is all scratched up inside. When switched on the light was just red and made a buzzing sound which is very annoying. Amazon have requested the seller picks it up for free and gives me my money back. Let's see what happens. This is terrible that they can send out an item that is faulty and damaged! I'm so angry as it was the perfect size 😡 ***Seller please sort this out ASAP as it's very bulky to store whilst waiting for you to arrange the pick up.*** ThanksUPDATE:Seller said to keep broken bin and refund. Not good enough as left with a useless bin!

Bought to separate my paper from other recycling, neat sturdy enough for my purpose.Another reviewer said the lid closes too quickly for scraping in food waste?Not a problem .... Please note pressing button marked “open” will keep lid open as long as required, then press “close” button to reactivate the auto closeOnly negative I didn’t realise there would not be two separate containers inside the housing, that would’ve been preferable to clipping in waste bin bags to cut down use of plastics

This bin is great, everyone has complimented it (which is weird as it's only a bin). It looks sleek, it's the perfect size (was worried about it being too big in photos but it's slimmer than it appears so doesn't look silly in my kitchen). Mechanism works perfectly, easy to clean and empty, can't recommend this enough!

Who writes reviews for a bin?!! This bin is awesome and I had to let people know. The auto function works great, easy to clean, holds loads, and importantly (but often overlooked) it is very easy to empty even when jam packed.
