Story follows Flynn, a struggling writer battling depression & writer’s block, who takes a job at a local supermarket hoping to find inspiration for his book. The plot quickly spirals into a surreal exploration of mental health, identity, and the blurred line between reality & imagination. This was heavily reminiscent of Fight Club, both have unreliable narrators, mental disintegration, and an on-point critique of consumer culture. Super raw & immersive read. Review: Good book - The book “Supermarket” by Bobby Hall was a suspenseful, thriller book. This book was very good and at certain points I could not put down the book. There was time my jaw was on the floor and times when I was confused. This book puts you through an emotional rollercoaster with a big plot twist that is unexpected. The plot devices used in this book was Macguffin, and Deus Ex Machina. Macguffin was used at the end as a helpful unexpected ending. Multiple objects were used to bring the plot to a resolution. Deus Ex Machina is also used because the problem was unexpectedly solved. Deus Ex Machina and Macguffin worked hand and hand in this book. I did enjoy this novel. Like I previously stated I was shocked and got emotionally invested in this book. There are lots of turns and plot twists that will leave you wanting to read more. The characters get you invested, and curiosity keeps you reading. I enjoyed all the characters and the way the book was set up. I really enjoyed the breaking of the fourth wall that was done frequently. I would recommend this book. In fact, I have recommended it. If you like mysteries this book is such a good choice. It’s hard to explain why I recommend it without spoiling it, but the plot twist will leave your jaw dropped. Overall, this book gets an 8.5/10 and that is just because I had to read this book for school. The book is short but so good and I highly recommend.

An Incredible First Run
Being a huge fan of the positivity in Bobby Hall's message as the MC Logic, I was incredibly excited to venture into his first fictional novel. I knew, from his music, that he was an avid story teller. But I wasn't sure how this passion for creativity would translate on paper as a full fledged novel. I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, the writing in this book is great. Mr. Hall breaks the fourth wall in a way that doesn't feel uncomfortable, or scripted. He does so in a way that feels very natural and entertaining. The dialogue feels about as natural as possible among people in the age range of the characters, and it fits well in the message of the story. Once you were sucked into the book, it was nearly impossible to put down. There were times where the perspectives in the story were hard to follow. I found myself having to re-read a paragraph or two over to follow where I was. That was also a positive for me though too. The book is cerebral. It forces you to think, but not to overthink. I would honestly recommend this book to anyone. Though I think it may hit home with people who are fans of dark themed thrillers like Fight Club. This work could easily become labelled as a cult classic with a following like Fight Club.

An excellent first novel
I'm 45 and have never heard of Logic. Not my type of music. I saw the book at Barnes & Noble and loved the cover and the title. After reading the back matter I knew I had to read it. The book works well on many fronts. It reads almost as if written in stream of though, yet the chapters work and flow in rhythm as a book should. The language is plain speak and in many respects I'd say this is a young adult novel. I suspect only very young people would be surprised by the 'twists' in the book, yet that took no enjoyment away for me. I loved following the story and I enjoyed the characters. What I think is awesome is that Bobby Hall knows he has a young fan base and is actively encouraging them to read - not only his own books, but the ones he mentions throughout the course of the book. He also mentioned other bands and artist I wasn't familiar with (Tame Impala being one) who I immediately went to listen to. And like he said (or, to be correct, like Flynn said) it was great stuff. I'm not sure this book would have been picked up for publishing had the author not already have a large following, but that's no matter. I like what Hall is doing and I'll support it. I might never get into his music, but I'll absolutely grab his next novel the moment it's out.

Huge fan says amazing read!
Bought my boyfriend Ultra 95 and i honestly didn’t know about Supermarket before hand untill he told me. He’s a huge fan and had been wanting both books. So I instantly bought this after I bought the other and he was so happy. He says they are both great reads and are in his top 3 favorite books. It arrived quickly , and the package wasn’t damaged or bent at all surprisingly since it was shoved in my mailbox.

One of the best books i have ever read. It hooks you from beginning until the end and just immerses you into the book. The book makes you think about a lot of things and helped me understand many aspects in other people's but also my own life. 10/10 would read again.

I'm not the biggest reader and while this isn't a 5/5, it's certainly a unique book and a must for any Logic fan

Although kind of cliché, still a great and fun read. Even the climax was very exciting and immersive, with a great message all throughout. Thanks Logic!
