I got this set for my youngest daughter. The looks of it is good for what I needed it for. When I got the item and began to put it together, I found several cracks and splits in the wood, which had me concerned. Several of the pieces were also missing the pre-drilled holes for the bolts to go into. Unfortunately, I cannot wait and return it all, because I need it badly. So I had to improvise and fix their mistakes in order to put it together. I would not recommend you purchasing this item at all.

The Dorel Living Palm Bay Espresso Full Bed frame was a good product for the money. Slight issues with the fit and finish were the only problems preventing a 5 star rating. Two of the dowel holes for assembly were drilled incorrectly from the factory. My guess is the pair of holes were found to have been drilled in the wrong spots, the board was re-positioned and then drilled again. The new holes were in the correct spot but we were left with an incorrect, over-sized hole overlapping the correct hole giving the appearance of a number 8 (two holes) instead of a single hole. We just filled in the now larger hole(s) with shortened toothpicks along with wood glue. This correction worked fine. I would recommend it again.

Yes it serves a purpose in this day and age but you get exactly what you pay for. After 3hrs putting this typical "press wood" low quality furniture together I was left very underwhelmed at what stood before me (both quality and sturdiness). Given a different time (covid era) where going into a furniture store and paying top dollar for a solid wood, well built high quality piece of furniture I would have much rather spent an additional $300.00-500 for a real quality piece of furniture. My time alone assembling this piece of junk is worth $200.00.Once you take this thing out of the box and start assembling you are committed. No turning back and most people would not even consider taking it apart and trying to return this thing. DON'T PURCHASE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE AND YOU WON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM.

Nice, sturdy bed for the price. Fairly easy to assemble, took about 45 minutes. I definitely recommend using better tools than the provided allen wrench to speed up the process. Only complaint is the amount of spacing between the slats. I am using this for a memory foam mattress directly on the slats, and the slats are spaced about 9 inches apart. I purchased an additional six 1x4s and cut to 54 1/4 length and screwed them to the frame for added support and to prevent any damage to the mattress. Slats are now spaced at the general recommendation of 2.5-3 inches.

Originally ordered and received the wrong color. And not only that, the bed was cracked. Was very upset. Processed a return and reorder was easier than I thought. Got the bed about a week later, assembled and is actually a pretty good quality and sturdy bed, can hold the wife, kid and myself when reading books with no give or creeky noises. Now my boy has a big boy bed and out of his toddler bed. Originally really unhappy and upset about this order but glad everything got fixed in a timely manner and I'm glad I stuck with this bed. Very happy about this purchase now. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the earlier mix up. Other than that great customer service and product.

The manufacturer was great to work with when the bed was lost in transit. They sent a replacement, no questions asked.The bed however was difficult to assemble and we’ve done our fair share of assembling furniture. Took us over four hours for a headboard, footboard, and sideboards. Very difficult to line up the bottom screw to get it to thread right and the metal piece you screw it into moves. I never want to take this bed apart to move it.

Love these beds so far. Just put together but seem very sturdy, easy to assemble & they are super nice to look at. So happy with my purchase

Bought this for my 4 year old and it's perfect! It looks great in her room. It seems sturdy and wasn't too hard to put together. She loves the bed and it is low enough for her to get into easily.
