Good quality, but not as described
The pictures of this package show 2 sets of pompom makers: one that is simply hinged, and one that has a sort of bridge from one side to the other. Since I was familiar with the first kind, I was interested in getting both styles to see which I preferred.Unfortunately, instead of getting a package each of both styles, I got 2 packages of the same, hinged style. These are fine pompom makers, but the second identical package is unnecessary.The scissors are as described, and look handy for travel.The instructional diagrams are excellent- which is good, because English was definitely NOT the first language of the writer!I'd give it 5 stars, if the sets had included the 2 varieties depicted, but the second will make a nice gift.

In summation, buy a different set. Perhaps a name brand set.
There are several reasons to dislike these pom makers. I will now list the reasons to save someone else the time and irritation.1. The photos and descriptions clearly state that it is an 8 piece set. The photos even showing 2 different sets of pom makers and a white and purple rectangle-ish thing. What I received was a single set and no white and purple rectangle-ish thing. I guess in the STRICTEST sense of the word, i did receive an 8 piece set, as each of the 4 pom makers is two piece. This, however, is not what is implied with the photos.2. These are flimsy. The clips that hold the two halves of the pom maker together are ESPECIALLY thin and flimsy. The two halves do not fit together properly where the clips are supposed to lock down. The “lock” for the clips, to hold them together after you have cut the pom pom, is a tiny, thin, minuscule little plastic nubbin(more on that in a moment). The twin pieces of each pom maker do fit well together though, that’s a plus.I did give the pom makers a try, after making just 4 poms, that tiny, thin, minuscule little plastic nubbin, apparently went on vacation, as it has completely disappeared.3. The word directions for using the pom makers are indecipherable. The person who wrote those directions, needs to be fired. For more than one reason. 1. Indecipherable. 2. They left out the SINGLE most important step in the entire process. TYING the pom pieces after cutting. HOW, HOW can you leave out that singularly most important step? There isn’t even a photo that can be attributed to that step. I linked photos of the box for your enjoyment.

Directions would be helpful
The plastic clips to hold the units in place come off very easily. Since there are no directions it takes a while to figure out how to use it. I thought I purchased two sets. I didn't realize that I had to use two pieces to make one pompom.

Not quite what was advertised, but work great
They're fine for what I needed, but I did not receive what was advertised. I was expecting a bridged set and a hinged set. I received 2 hinged sets. Had I received what was advertised I would definitely give it 5 stars for what they are.

Ease of use.
I am rating these pretty high even though one of the pom pom frames came with a missing part. They were completely adequate for the job. Not the sort of thing I would give as a gift.

Great use!
Product came quickly. Pom Poms are so easy to make using this tool! Its great for anyone who likes to crochet or knit hats and need Pom Poms for that extra look.
