Problem with the receiver and the squelch
It would be good to improve the sensitivity of squelchThe Reception has no relation with the Digital squelch. To listen to low signal stations I must open it completely.The Signal meter also has no relationship with the true intensity of the received signal. (RX)squelch It is digital in my case I do not pass the test.Does not include programming cable. that would be good for a firmware update to try to correct the problem of RX.UPDATE 03-16-2019:I have tried to contact the manufacturer and I have not been able to communicate by any means for solution to my unit I modify my rating to a star

Seemed great at first, but . . .
This radio has a lot to offer in that it does receive AM in the Medium and Shortwave bands, plus the FM band, transmits well on VHF and UHF. What's not to like? It has little to no selectivity. On all bands, including medium, short wave, and VHF I will hear other stations off frequency. On 2-meters I often hear commercial and paging service in the ham band when receiving an in-band station. It's bad enough that I cannot leave the radio On for long even squelched as out of band and adjacent frequency transmissions will break the squelch and deliver obnoxious noise. I do not live near any strong commercial broadcast or other high-power transmitters causing overload - it just has no selectivity. I'm not happy with it and can't recommend it.

Had a small snag, received good customer service, new unit works well!
I needed a radio for a prep event that could do GMRS in the event of an emergency. I thought I would try the Zastone. A lot of Chinese radios get a bad rap, and I did experience a bad unit. However I reached out to Zastone through their seller account in Amazon to ask about the problem I had. They got back with me in a matter of hours, diagnosed the problem and offered to mail a replacement but the next day. I was pleasantly surprised with their speed of communication and willingness to send another radio. Because that radio wouldn’t arrive on time, I used the amazon return service and purchased the same model again.This model did not have the sameness issue and is working fine for my purposes. This is going in a GO bag (more like a box), for emergencies.It would be great if they could make the same radio and get approved with the FCC for GMRS use, that could make it a year round rig for many.Based on my experience I recommend this seller and their product.
