Powerful and Dimmable Low Energy Satin Chrome Floor Lamp Uplighter by Haysom Interiors

This lamp projects a lovely bright light onto the ceiling, which I find perfect for reading books with small print. The foot-operated dimmer is easy to use and works well.However, in my opinion the lamp could be made safer. At the bottom on the main pole, the cable emerges and is folded tightly to one side, over a rather sharp threaded edge. When you move the lamp over the carpet, it causes the cable to rub over this edge. My concern is that eventually the metal edge might cut through the insulation on the cable. I improvised a little grommet to give myself peace of mind.

I have to change the door dimmer switch as I put the wrong bulb in and burnt out the switch. This was obviously my fault but the wires from the plug and lamp to the dimmer are not coloured. There is no way of me knowing which is the live wire, the Earth wire or the Neutral wire in both leads. Now need to get an electrician to try and do this for me. Would have been a quick and simple job for me to if the wires were coloured. Not sure if this is because the lamp was not made in the UK?

Just over four months of use, and the floor lamp has stopped working altogether. And this was a replacement: the first one delivered did not work at all. A real disappointment. That is my experience. Read other reviews before making up your mind. Personally, I am going to have to try another brand.

Didnt know what to expct when I ordered this for my business. A bit fiddly to put together and required 2 people, one to hold and one to assemble but it was worth the result.It is smart, neat and does the job. The dimmer switch is on floor level, so I can adjust the light wit my foot to suit the client, without sisrupting their treatment.I have received many positive comments on this lamp and would highly recommend it.

The threading between the joints did not screw well together so I order a second one. Encountered the same problem, though at a different joint so still didnt work. I am not sure if I am incompetent or unlucky. The are both being returned as I type.

This is a truly great product. The whole room is filled with a daylight lighting just as if you were sitting outside.. And the bulb is energy saving. If you want great lighting then this is the product for you

We have Georgian height ceilings and these are the only lamps we have found that give off enough light in our office. Great quality and value, easy to assemble and highly recommended. Wish we'd bought these years ago instead of wasting money on other models.

Design basic, Not bad for the money. Delivered quick in good condition. Plenty of cable. Sliding dimmer impressive. Yes I would look at their lighting for other rooms. Good job done.
