The Foundation of a Vet Library
Out of vet school, I had a handful of textbooks and nothing much else by way of resources for daily cases. One of the other vets at my first clinic had an old version of this book, and I found myself borrowing it daily (hourly, really). Like its predecessor, this has SO much vital information in an accessible format, and the best some of the best stuff are the updates. It isn't an all-encompassing reference, but for me, it is THE reference to start the foundation of my daily resources.

A clinic essential.
This is just the most useful book. I left my copy in another country, and rather than wait for it to come out with my container of household and other books, I purchased a 2nd copy because it's a book I cannot be without. It has useful 'pearls' of wisdom for each disease too, and snippets of valuable information. Every vet clinic should have this book!

Great desk resource!
After three years of practice, this book has stayed in arm’s reach. Good quick concise formula, good write ups for procedures and conditions. This and a VIN membership and you can survive just about anything!

Absolutely love this book
Absolutely love this book! It is my go to for cases I have questions about. I also own a feline only book which one had one page on FIP and this one has three! More than the feline book! Very well organized and also has lab interpretations at the end. Definitely worth the money and very satisfied with my purchase as a veterinarian.

I was disappointed that the printed book was in black and white instead of full color, but other than that it is a fantastic resource!

I am editing my previous review, after an extensive use of this book I can say it is an excellent choice for a daily consultation at your practice, just make sure you have the e- version running, I don’t use the hard copy, the e-version is easy to use, very computer with the most common diseases in dogs and cats, it’s really helpful.

and a good starting point
A bit more detail that the 5-minute consult, but again, very easy-to-use, to the point, and a good starting point. Good for the new-grad to help know where to start to get he ball rolling on a case. Certainly not a replacement for Ettingers or Silversteins small animal critical care medicine.

Clinical Veterinary Advisory
I purchased this as a Christmas Gift for my daughter who is a Vet Assistant. She has a thirst for all things vet related and greatly appreciates the book.
