This attachment worked perfectly for what I needed. Our original that came with the house was old and not functioning correctly. This one was easy to attach and works flawlessly.

Quality construction the only reason I left off 1 star is the NOISE! Compared to the one that I replaced, once I put this one in it makes a very loud humming noise, while the water is turned on. It’s almost unbearable even. So if you are going to be using it somewhere where you don’t mind listening to that then it’s A-OK. It works fantastic otherwise The humming noise is very loud.

Easy to install, just screw it in place. Works as id expect it to.

When I first bought my house I saw these on my outside faucets I thought they were flow restrictors. Promptly removed them then learned what they really are. They do restrict the flow of contaminants back into the household water supply. Depending on how much usage they get they should last a long time. I replaced mine after 10 years with these. So far they are working fine. They are a little noisy but I guess that means they are working.

I needed one of this for my backyard faucet. I spray my lawn with fertilizers and pesticides and this helps prevent chemicals backflow back into my water system. All brass.

The original one installed on my house was spurting water everywhere every time I turned the spigot off. After some research I found out this device prevents water from backflushing into the water pipe that connects with public water supply. Prevents possible contamination and is required by my local builers code. When the inside seal is broken (or tired?) the water stops flushing out at the bottom and just squirts out everywhere!This product was great. Works as it is designed to work, quality material, easy to install. Best homeowner solve this year!

I ordered two vacuum breakers. Both units are defective.The first vacuum breaker works but leaks between the two metal connected parts (see the attached pictures), and the second one does not prevent backflow and does not function as designed. After the faucet is closed, the water inside the hose should go through the holes located by the perimeter of the vacuum breaker. The leaking unit works, but leaks where it should not. The second one does not leak, but it does not allow the water from the hose to go through the breaker's holes when the faucet is closed.
