Badabulle Compact'up Height Adjustable Bouncer

Our baby isn’t due yet so I haven’t tried it out with our little one but I just set it up and it’s perfect! We have a little dog and so I wanted baby off the ground away from him - I love that this is height-adjustable and the heights are perfect! It’s easy to put up, easy to adjust and the material feels really soft. Overall, it seems really good quality so I’m glad I spent a little more on this product compared to cheaper alternatives I found!

For tired parents trying to avoid endless picking up and putting down from the floor- whether because of back problems or just simple convenience- this is a really good solution. Bringing the baby up to table level at meal times feels very inclusive, both for the parents and (presumably) for the child, and makes a surprisingly big contribution towards making life feel normal.We’re really impressed with this. It’s got that magical balance between being easy to use, readily adjustable by a grown-up without fear that it’s going to get accidentally adjusted of its own accord or through the interfering fingers of the older kids, but at the same time it feels really sturdy when it’s in position and you don’t have any concerns about it giving way in any manner once the baby’s in it. (Though of course it’s obligatory to say that our older kids have been forbidden from touching it just in case, and of course you shouldn’t leave babies unattended in bouncers for any extended period, etc. etc.)The fold-up capability is really handy in a small room as well, certainly. As the product photos show it’s not supremely small when packed, but it can slide into a small space- in our case behind the sofa- which really does help.As far as I can judge it’s comfortable too. It feels well padded and soft, for sure. Our youngest hasn’t actually fallen asleep in it yet, but certainly isn’t objecting to being sat in it, and I think it’s only a matter of time before they nod off in it (fingers crossed…). The star and moon shapes are sweet- certainly a lot less tacky than some of the plastic you find in other baby stuff- and while I find the fairly muted colours rather tasteful, I did read that babies are supposed to be more attracted to bright contrasts, so in theory these shapes ought to be less interesting to a baby than the bolder, more eye-grabbing alternatives. Certainly that’s been our experience so far, but with an analysis that could hardly be called scientific.Apparently this product was first available in August 2018- I wish we’d had it when our older kids were young, it’s far superior to the more basic bouncer we used and would’ve saved us a lot of back effort! It makes the youngest seem like the easiest now, even though for plenty of other reasons that’s not true...

I love the height adjustable aspect of this bouncer as it means you don’t have to stoop down to baby and can have them at a height more suited to you. This is great for any parent/carer suffering from back pain and also means baby is at a better height for good eye contact when talking to them in their bouncer. Lovely comfy seat and easy to set up. Great alternative to traditional bouncers.

This comes in a big colourful box, 570x790mm, and it’s very heavy at 9Kg. Out of the box it is a bit lighter at 5Kg, but of course with weight comes stability! Haul out the bouncer, unfold it and stand it up, and it’s ready to use. One of the nice things about this bouncer is speed of setting up. It takes just a second, which means it’s not a bother to store and fetch out.It is very solidly built, in white metal with matching heavy-duty plastic parts. The seat is a well-padded thing with the safety harness connected to it. The aid the baby’s comfort, there is a backrest, a headrest which can be removed if desired, and a padded arch with dangly mobile of crinkly toys on it. That’s the basic bouncer.For a bouncer at this price you’d expect more, and there is more. The seat can be rotated back and forth as required, using a simple adjuster to lock it to any of five positions. This takes the baby from sitting to reclining. The toy bar arch can be repositioned to suit the angle of recline. The overall height can be adjusted, too. Retractable feet mean the bouncer can also be a rocker.The fabric cover is machine-washable, so no bother there. What you get is a handy bouncer that is adaptable, built to last, and easy to clean. The adjusters have a positive movement to them, and the harness is easy to adjust and to snap together. The instructions say the bouncer is fine placed even on a sofa, but we didn’t feel confident doing that.We’ve tried a few bouncers over the years, and to be fair they all bounced the baby and kept them safe. This time we tested with twin granddaughters aged a few months. They were very happy in it – one baby at a time! This bouncer is French, and has a French-designed feel about that we like a lot. It is a bit more special that the other bouncers we have tried.

This is the third baby bouncer we have tested for the Vine programme and it is probably the best one. This is not a cheap product, but it does ooze quality. Everything about this bouncer has been thought about and over-engineered. It is a large item and weighs 9Kg. The weight of this item makes it very sturdy and there is no risk that it will tip over. The seat is fully adjustable and can be locked into any one for five positions. As the baby can be positioned at virtually any angle, the bar which holds the toys can also be changed to suit whichever angle you desire. The cover is fully washable and can be taken on and off easily. You can even adjust the feet so that it becomes a rocker.Overall this item has been very well designed and engineered. It has been very carefully thought about to keep the baby safe and happy. Its fully adjustable and can be easily cleaned. I am therefore happy to recommend it.
