I bought these for a science project with my 7 year old grandson, to create a 3-part homopolar motor & 4-part electromagnetic train. They are incredibly strong and at first I thought there was some extra packaging holding the stack together.As mentioned in other reviews, they are fragile and will likely chip or crack if you try to attract one to another. Since I was aware of that, I am not reducing my overall score. They are fine for their intended use with proper handling.I wasn't sure about the Easy To Remove rating, they are hard to remove. But that is the point!I did give only 1 star for sturdiness as I broke one within 30 seconds of unboxing, just fooling around to try them out.As mentioned in the product literature, these are not toys and are not for young children. Use very close supervision during experiments, these can pinch strongly if allowed to snap back together.

These will be fine for sticking papers, photos, etc... to fridge, but are relatively weak for their size. I found these very easy to separate from each other, and do not have the same holding power as the stronger but smaller 15mm x 3mm N45 magnets I previously purchased. These do not have a given N rating, but based on my non scientific testing, I would guess these are possibly an N38 magnet, or possibly even the lowest rating for Neodymium magnets, N35.I wanted to use these to attach commonly used tools (wrenches, hex keys, chuck keys, etc...) to my power equipment, some of the wrenches can be relatively heavy. The two 15x3's hold in place (one on each end of the wrench), even through the vibration of my drum sander, but two of these 15x5's do not, with the wrench & magnets sliding down the side of the sander from the vibration. Unfortunately, I don't have enough of the 15x3 magnets remaining, and will have to buy more.

They are powerful magnets. After the kids played with then for a few minutes, a couple of them had chips broken out of them. These magnets will pull on each other from a couple of inches and when they collide they can chip off an edge. Did not seem to be sharp edges. Not my intended end use anyway, but be warned.Didn't really know how to answer "easy to remove".

These are the best! I'll never buy these magnets from Michael's again. These are way better, bigger, stronger and better cost-wise. Thanks a million. Please don't raise prices.

There are quite a few imperfections on the surface of the magnets, as well as some internal as one magnet has already shattered under very light use. The delivery was also very delayed...

Perfect size and strength !. I used these for a DIY version of a product that sells 2 for $10.., with these I was able to make 10 for the same price...
