My left foot constantly slid inside the sandal when running in them.
Since I enjoy running in my bare feet during summer months, I was looking for a bare foot running sandal that could be worn when running upon harsher surfaces, such as raised tarmac/asphalt, since it's an awful surface to run upon bare foot. Having previously experimented with Xero Shoes' Amuri Venture with not much success, since a comfortable fit couldn't be achieved upon the left foot, from the images presented, the Vivo Eclipse sandal seemed to be a better product. Admittedly, compared to the Amuri Venture, it certainly was. After adjusting the strapping to fit, the sandal certainly felt secure upon my feet for general use, such as walking. Sadly, when it came to running in them, the same could not be said. Within a couple of hundred metres, my first run in the Vivo Eclipse was interrupted by the need to lift the strap further up the instep of my left foot, something that continued throughout, as the strap repeatedly slid towards my toes, resulting in my left foot sliding around in the sandal (eventually resulting in blistering at the base of my big toe) whilst also leading to the feeling that it was going to fall off. Oddly enough, the sandal on my right foot remained secure throughout. I did persevere with them for two further runs, adjusting the strapping before heading out, but the same occurred, so they were eventually returned for a refund. As such, I've returned to running bare foot upon concrete, sand and smooth tarmac. That said, I have to commend the seller, SportShoesUK, upon their level of customer service shown throughout the return process. However, those looking for an everyday sandal, allowing a near bare foot experience to be achieved, should find the Vivo Eclipse both stylish and comfortable; just don't run in them.

Best Sandal everrrrrr!
I love these. I have been making and wearing Hauraches style sandals for a few years, and in my opinion these are the ultimate incarnation of them. They are a vast improvement on last year's product and nearly half the price. Simple to put on and comfortable to wear. Perfect for train in and good value if you fancy dabbling in barefoot running. I first started wearing Hauraches or barefoot sandals so I could do my kettlebell and strength training training outside, on my gravel yard. They soon became my footwear of choice for all things. My diy footwear was often commented on at fitness events but until these came out I couldn't find a product to match my Xeros. So now I'm super excited to have the shoes I want and look a little less eccentric.

My best buy yet since vibram fivefingers...
Love them so much i don't want to take them off. I am now living in these things, really comfy, and for someone who never wore flip flops or other sandals because I could not get on with them, that is saying something. I will be buying another pair when the time arises. I see these as the sandal version of the vibram fivefingers.

Soooooooo Comfy!!
these are so comfy, I usually live in flip flops but these are like flip flops but a more secure fit being a sandal, I love the feeling of almost walking barefoot, super comfy , love em!. Also I machine wash mine on a 30degree wash to keep them nice and fresh!

The fit is perfect, and they were immediately comfortable
Just got a pair of these. The fit is perfect, and they were immediately comfortable. The look is a bit different than other sandals, but I'm a fan and I can't wait to sport them all summer long. Thanks for protecting my feet on the London streets while still being a "barefoot" sandal!

Size is true to vivobarefoot standards. The sole is thicker than many of their shoes, but I believe this is necessary in this design (e.g. no material around the perimeter to keep the toe from bending down, so it must be a bit thicker) and it is what I was looking for in this shoe. I use these as a day-to-day barefoot alternative to flip flops. They are also working well as a less technical water sandal and have performed well on wet rocks and boat ramps. The only caution I have is that i didnt realize that the entire strap is slightly stretchy and one result is that they are a bit rougher between my toes than normal flip flops. This is not a problem if you were to use these as a running sandal and strike with your forefoot, but the rubbing between your toes is more pronounced when you walk with the typical walking heel strike.

PAINFUL! Had to return. Tried for over an hour to adjust these to fit correctly -- couldnt do it. Strap material is very painful between toes. Really loved the look, very unique and well constructed. Sadly far too painful.
