You have to bake the item you color
To make the color permanent, you have to let the project dry for hours, then bake it at 400 degrees for a half hour and let it cool in the oven for another half hour. So items that melt or that are too big for the oven won’t achieve permanence. It’s nice that the instructions for getting the ink to flow are written on each marker, on the box and on an enclosed card, all with drawings to illustrate. The drawings show that you shake it not from top to bottom but like you’re shaking down an old-fashioned thermometer to remove the last reading. It would be nice if the ink color was also written on each marker. Hard to tell some of them apart. Black and brown are almost the same, and red is nearly indistinguishable from the fuscia, which has a purply pink cap. Interesting that you have to push the tip to one side to kind of burp it, before pumping the point on scrap paper until ink comes down to cover the tip and starts to pool. The instructions say to practice on scrap, then reactivate and apply to your project. When the flow gets thin, repeat the process from the thermometer shake. I found this made for uneven application. In my set of 12 colors, there was too little difference between the colors. Instead of a fuscia and red that almost match, for example, I could have used a second green. They’re ingenious little devices, though, and I plan to personalize mugs and stemware.

Oven friendly
Worked/came out great on a mug I decorated and baked in the oven.

Doesn't bleed. Easy for paint to fill tip!
No shaking for hours, no pushing or pumping endlessly. Just a quick shake back and forth, a one time gentle push down and watch the paint fill the tip. So far I haven't had any one of the pens BLOB paint on anything I'm working on. They don't have a very fine tip so keep that in mind when ordering. It's a nice addition to my other art supplies.

Beautiful Results, Great Price, Easy
Shipping was so fast! These are great for writing on glass. I have a lot of experience working with Pebeo brand - the most well-known of glass and ceramic paints. These are just as good, if not better - at a FRACTION of the price! Colors are vibrant and don't alter when baking. The paint flow is consistent which avoids "oops - it pooped" mistakes that can ruin a project (and cause tons of frustration.) I would include a photo of my projects, but the second they were cooled the recipients ran off with them. (They surprised me by arriving while the jars were in the oven.) No one could believe they were handmade - and I finished the large project happily, with lots of paint left for another day. I highly recommend these and will order more when these are gone. Only one request from Zeyar: more colors, please! I would buy them all!** IMPORTANT TIP **: When you put your glass project in the oven it is VERY IMPORTANT to PLACE GLASS IN A COLD OVEN. Place the glass inside, turn it on, bake. LEAVE GLASS IN OVEN UNTIL COOL. Once oven is again cold, you can safely remove the glass. This should be in Zeyars instructions but isn't. If you don't do this the glass can shock, and that's not only bad for your project but downright dangerous. Anyone who works with glass knows this but if you're new, you may not. This will avoid shattered glass, and it also won't crack while cooling.

Not for Kiln
Just a note, that these do not hold up at all in the kiln.I put a few things in to test - fully covered in marker, and all colour baked off. Will try and add some detail to my already fired pieces and then bake and see how they fare.

Close - Adequate, Even - but Beware of "The Blob. "
I ordered both fine and medium tipped sets because I wasn't sure what my project - detailing art work on a child's alphabet blocks - would call for. The blocks are 1 1/2" cubes of hard maple. The pens worked fine for this project until the black fine-tipped pen released a gob of paint which smeared the surface of a block. Perhaps I should have been more attentive to shaking the unit, but I had been working with the pen for about half an hour without issues. It's sure not a case of life or death, but frustrating nevertheless. I also noted a slight tendency for the ink to bleed into the hardwood. I would expect that use of these pens with softer woods might present a problem, so trial pieces are always recommended. In retrospect I may have chosen the wrong medium but I wanted to use acrylic paint and my brush skills aren't up to par.Overall the ease of use and coverage are great. The "blob" and associated rework of my project caused me to lower the overall rating to "average." In terms of choices for the future, I will simply shake the pens more frequently and keep my eyes open for a good alternative.

Bright colours, wash well.
I bought 3 sets of these for Christmas presents and they were great. My daughter wanted to decorate every plate in the house! The colours are bold and have great staying power, even in the dishwasher. The gold and silver did not survive our dishwasher, so you should probably hand wash those.

Great!
Made some very nice personalised egg cups! Was fun and fairly easy to use, for the paint to stay on you must leave it to try overnight and bake them at 200°C putting them in BEFORE you turn on the oven, once the oven is up to temperature then time 30mins, after baked let them cool in the oven! The pens are slightly thick and quite hard to use In some instances but overall good!

Wash proof!
The media could not be loaded. I was very sceptical about these pens with the mixed views! (Watch my vid!) Do NOT be put off by negative posts! I drew on plate, let it dry naturally, then baked for half hour at gas mark 6, turned oven off then removed after 40 mins (purely because i forgot.) Let it cool completely, and as you can see washed it with wash up liquid and rubbed well, and believe me the water was getting pretty hot. Dried with tea towel, Perfect! Im unsure on dishwasher, that will be my next test! Amazing pens can't wait to use them some more!

Okay if handled gently!
These were okay.... however we did have a leakage after a little too much shaking and so had a very green floor for a while! Floor washed up fine but clothes did not!
