Such beautiful string
I love these string so much, they have been my go to for the past few years. You open em up, smell that beautiful scent of earthy bronze, and put these bad boys on your strings and play. They sound so warm and vibrant, and have such a great feel in between your fingers. It isnt too soft and it has just the right amount of crunch. I dont exactly know how to describe it but these strings are amazing. I highly recommend them.

GREAT STRINGS but...
For the product I leave a lot of stars for it because it is a very high quality string. This is my first time trying this brand and I am so pleased with the quality. I think the sound of these strings for my guitar is not the best fit though, for the tone I am trying to get out of it (music nerd stuff). The strings really bring the mids out of the guitar with a more Mild tone that provides good sustain and a nice warm sound. The guitar I put them on has a maple back and sides, maple being good a reproducing treble sounds. And this guitar soars on treble and mids. Not so much with bass. If it were a primarily basswood (mahogony, rosewood, etc) guitar I guess the strings would sound great on the guitar and I'd continue using them. But as it is I've lost that High end awesome tone that made me stop using coated strings because they reproduced less of it. So I was using plain non coated strings before of a different brand and just heard these and their quality. Well I found out the quality of these is GREAT, but just not the reproducing the tone i want for this one guitar. I would try them again on my other acoustic for sure. If you like the Milder tones and Warmth, etc these are a sure bet!

Great strings for multiple genres.
Great sounding strings.I put them on my Martin and they sound great. The base E is not as boomie as the elixir’s I had on before but it has a great warm rich tone now.I recommend trying a set if like folk ,blues and rock.

Through the 46 years I've played guitar, I've used many, many brands of acoustic guitar strings. In my younger days I got whatever I could. Years later, I had an old Martin which I passed down to my son. Before that, about 20 years ago I stopped at the only music store in a small town while playing on the road. The only strings they had didn't interest me, accept for John Pearse, which I'd never heard of.I bought them out of curiosity and lack of choices, and before tuning I could hear the sound, the wonderful clarity. After my first minute of playing a little bit I knew I'd found the brand unlike anything I'd ever used! That was before I knew how long they lasted..Since then the only strings to go on my acoustics are John Pearse, and they will remain my choice.

Good Match On A Guild D55
I tried these a few years ago and have stuck with them ever since. I've also tried Elixir's with similar gage and coating for a few changes, but came back to these. I am using them on a 2001 Guild D55 which I bought in very, very used condition - but the sound is unbelievable with these John Pearse mediums. I highly recommend these for dreadnought play. For my playing habits, I replace about every 4-6 weeks - and thats after many hours of hard playing - these things don't die easy. When you strike the chord on a bright new set, you'll draw a lot of attention - people will be trying to figure out what makes your sound so rich. Give'em a shot.

A great option for those looking for a little more.
Really like these strings. Really, I'm a player who likes my worn-in strings. I like my acoustics to have a bit more response in the bass and not so much of the icepick high end. When I finally broke a couple strings, I had to give in, and I ended up going for these after hearing that they were the preferred choice of Elliott Smith. They work equally well for a variety of styles, and I appreciate the even response. Now, these are a bit thicker, so I ended up tuning a step down to avoid both breaking a string and the extra strain on the neck. They sound great, and I like that I can tune to D and not get floppy strings. For E, that's what a capo is for.Really can't go wrong with these strings.

damn E string!
I have broken 3 E strings of the 5 sets I have bought. The knurl at the end came blasting off while trying to tune it for the first time! I don't think its my D Slope because it seldom happens although I have had a couple set of D'addario's that did the same. But in 16 years of using mainly them, I can consider it no big deal. The Pearce is a great sounding string. In my quest for the"perfect" string hunt I am narrowing them down to Elixir Nano because of how well the slide after 4 weeks or more. And I like the custom String Joys's a lot a s well. And of course I can't tell yo how many D'addarios i have gone through over the years. I play 3 or 4 hours a day so I don't expect miracles, just disappointed when a string breaks while tuning it carefully.
